Aqara FP2, mmWave presence detection on WiFi

Same sensor is not found,i try to reboot Homey, the Fp2 and even change the power supply but nothing…
But the app found my tado bridge and a Somfy camera, even the Homey when i select Apple homekit in the advanced experience in homey’s settings

Is the sensor already paired with another HomeKit controller (like your phone)? If so, that will be the reason why it doesn’t work.

No i don’t have any Apple devices ,the sensor is only “pair” with his aqara app, google home/alexa and iftt

If you are using v0.0.3 of HomeKit Controller App in Homey, try v.0.0.10 version (is still in test) with several improvements. I’m using 0.0.10 myself and it works quite well not having any Apple device.

Thanks, but sadly even with the 0.0.10 version Homey doesn’t find the Fp2 sensor…

Things I have tried last week. A combination of them was sucessful. I honestly don’t know which combination is right. After each step, check the connection in the Homekit app; if it is working, you do need need to execute the other steps. First store your personal Zone settings in the Aqara app as a personal template, so you can reuse this:

  • unplug, wait 10 seconds and plug the FP2 device
  • restart the Homekit app
  • remove Homekit app and (re)install v0.0.10 Test version (again)
  • restart Homey device
  • soft reset FP2: delete FP2 from Aqara app + push and hold for at least 10 seconds the FP2 button (fast blinking yellow light) + reconnect with Aqara app + reload personal zones in Aqara app
  • hard reset FP2 (factory reset): delete FP2 from Aqara app + push FP2 button 10 times (fast blinking yellow light) + reconnect with Aqara app + reload personal zones in Aqara app

I really hope someone figures it out

Thanks for your answer,Since last hour i tried all your solutions but still nothing,i give up for today
Maybe my sensor have a problem with the homekit compability

Hi folks, I just bought a Homey Pro 2023 and an Aqara FP2, thinking I could just use the Aqara app to set it up.

Clearly not!

Is the easiest way to make this work to buy the Aqara hub and somehow connect it to the Homey Pro? Or would that not even work?

TBH, I’d rather just have a Zigbee presence sensor so that everything can be handled locally and doesn’t rely on the manufacturer remaining in business for it to work!

Does anybody know of such a sensor that works with Homey Pro 2023?

I don’t need anything fancy - I was juet going to put it in our smallest bedroom to turn the lamp on when I was in there, so I don’t need zones or anything.

OK, I’ve just done that myself and got it working.

What issues is everyone else having then?

Hi,
could anybody please give a step by step instruction for the Homekit Controller App?
Must the sensor be paired to Aqara app and all the zones defined?
Do I have to reset it after that to make the green light blink again?
Tried everything, but don´t get it connected…

The forum is in Dutch, so no way to get it

Thanks Thilo

OK, so I downloaded the Aqara app and all that, but ultimately just have it connected with Alexa. It’s not showing in the Homey at all. Bugger.

Which part are you referring to?
The start page is in English, this topic is in English…

.
The preferred language here is Dutch, and the site still shows English

Hi Peter,

I referred to the Homekit Controller page:

The link is on the page of the app.

But I didn´t want to critizise the forum or get into some kind of general discussion, just asked for help with the FP2 and the app…
Regards Thilo

Ah I see, Thilo,

Oh no, I didn’t think of it as criticizing for a second, no worries, I just wondered where you encountered text in Dutch
And with ‘Forum’ you meant ‘topic’ as I understand now.

I use deepl.com or translate.google.com to translate written text, maybe it can translate the Dutch to something what makes more sense to you

Will create a separate topic for English.

Thank You! Is there any howto for your app available somewhere?
