@Rob_Brans thank you for your paypal donation
I’m recently migrated from the old Energylink to the new P1 meter dongle. In the Energylink it was possible to show the graph of gas usage used during the day.
This not possible anymore with the new dongle and I’m only be able to see the total amount m3 gas usage.
In the Homewizard Energy app is it possible to see the usage graph, as shown in the screenshot.
Is there a possible way to get this graph/data in Homey as well?
Homewizard Energy app:
Homey Homewizard app:
This graph is not from Homey.
So can you get the same graph/data within the Homey app?
Here’s a way to do that
It’s in Insights visible as graph, which you can add to Homey dashboard.
Correct, the P1 meter only has the gas meter total value and not the hourly graph.
Power by the Hour app is the perfect answer to this.
Why can PBTH shows this data and HW not?
Especially because PBTH is using the same P1 meter data. And the Energylink could do that also.
Energylink has two data points on gas. A daily and a total. The P1 dongle has only one total.
The PbtH app can do hourly and daily measurements based on the total metric as it captures hourly the value from the P1.
It is pointless for me to add/build all that calculation to my app while there is a better solution (even with costs calculated dynamic or static contracts).
Okay thank you for the explanation. Now I understand.
Question, is it possible to also read the WiFi signal strength from the P1 metre and battery? I would like to use it for monitoring. (Push notification in case of too low value)
The P1 apiv1 has wifi but the newer P1 apiv2 Homewizard doesnt include wifi anymore.
Now I am a bit confused.
Because that polling time part was not a case for me so I was not really reading those post.
Therefore also not the P1 apiv1 and P1 apiv2 changes.
Now I read about yes or no WiFi.
Is that no WiFi for a newer version of the F1 dongel then I hope that I never have to change to that newer one.
If that API is also coming in the old version that it become the 2nd big blow on the Homey system.
Athom self have made a few minor ones, 1 app the 1st big one.
P1 dongle is the same hardware (no version 2, at least not yet).
Newer firmware (6.x and higher) adds apiv2 (needed for plugin battery) support but the “older” apiv1 still exists. So you can still use / keep the current apiv1 and read wifi metrics. But I dont seen wifi metrics in the apiv2 so hence my comment. But perhaps raise it with Homewizard that IF apiv1 is removed (which I doubt as documentation says it will stay) they can add wifi metrics eventually.
Hope it makes sense now.
Is it a problem to use v1 & v2 simultaneously on Homey? I now have a 2023 and use v2 for future functions.
No you can use them next to each other. But one of them you need to exclude from Homey Energy else it does double energy measures.
beta/test
v3.6.12
- Bug fixes polling timers that suddenly stopped
- P1(apiv2) gas meter bugfixes
- P1(apiv2) aggregated total usage added (support for PowerByTheHour app)
- Custom polling for Watermeter, SDM230, SDM630 and SDM630-p1 mode, Default 10s, adjust as you wish.
- Insights added for kwh meters
- (untested) condition/action cards plugin battery - P1apiv2 device is required
unfortunately I get a Device unavailable. (not found) On the P1 meter. Restarting the app does not fix this.
Homey pro 2023
What is not available? Be more specific.
Might be your router / AP mdns.
Further if you set the polling to fast/quick for P1 your Homey might not able to handle. This can vary per user/network and amount of devices registered.
Ok maybe your token expired?
Sent diagnostic report maybe that hint the reason.
