Aqara FP300 with Matter!

Fp300 does not work in the bathroom (yet?) . Stops working in high humidity rooms. According to the reviews on the Aqara forum…

Not sure if that’s Aqara related:
mmWave presence sensors detect water concentrations.
I have a DYI mmWave presence sensor in the shower and it never failed. Maybe the reviewers on the Aqara forum should ventilate their shower / bathrooms a bit better. Or they might have very tiny bathrooms

Imagine that, pooping and showering at the same time :winking_face_with_tongue:

You shouldn’t take my story out of context. Please share the whole story, not just that little bit.

Because I’m saying it’s a shame this product isn’t available in the Netherlands NOW. To which you reply that it will be on November 22nd. Well, that’s good to hear, and I’m happy about that.

So, not just the little bit about me not liking it.

… without a very very good fan :face_with_peeking_eye::rofl:

Can’t find them to pre order

Also in the Netherlands ?

Don’t think so. We need to be patient..

Just ordered one to Norway

I ordered 1.

Does someone know how to connect to homey?

  1. Through matter or
  2. Through homekitcontroller

Matter!

It also has a Zigbee mode. It is supposed to give you a year extra of battery life. Not sure however, if the Aqara apps for Homey already support this device (in Zigbee mode). I assume support will be added though.

I think you need aquaras own hub to use zigbee mode.

My assumption is based on this post from Athom. Which suggests that they already have the product in house and might be working on support for it  .

I am curious about what you are going to use the sensor for - placement?

I have not ordered it. Maybe in the future. For use in some rooms to manage powering on/off lights and equipment where presence is a factor.

In principle it would also be a great replacement of my current setup to switch on/off the lights in the restroom. Though it is a pricy piece of hardware for just that purpose  and am not sure how bulky the device is.

I hope some users will post their experiences here soon.

For what purpose are you going to use it?

If you google it, you find a lot of reviews from the early bird testers on the aquara forum.

I personally just want to test it. But like you said, it will probably be used for light automation to begin with.

I got one of these delivered today, not used it as of yet.

Is this not fully supported as of yet with homey?

Delivered today

What is the blind time ?
Can I change that setting ?
