[APP] Reolink

Thanks for the response.

I wil return the camera to the shop because the promoted that it “talks to homey”

AFAIK the only battery cameras supported by Homey are currently Eufy cameras

Al eufy batery cameras ore some models?

I prefer something with a solar pannel, that was the reason i bought the reolink.

I have a Solar Wall Light Cam, it works great with Homey. You can ask if your model is supported in the Eufy app topic:

The Argus Series B320 is supported but is requires a hub/nvr to talk to Homey. This is because of the communication design of the device

There are battery powered devices from Reolink that are supported, the Argus Series B320 is just not one of them.

A feature that would be extremely helpful, especially for Advanced Flows, would be to be able to pan to either a saved position or a designated angle. Instead of guesstimates like the below example where I am hoping the camera is pointing in the direction I think it should be, then performing multiple pan actions to hopefully end up pointing towards an area another camera detected a person. So the panning camera will then hopefully pick up that detected person and continue to monitor them on their passage about my property. That’s a whole lot of hoping.

PTZ presents support will be available in coming release!

I just released to test: v1.2.0

New features

  • Add PTZ preset control + action card
  • Add enable/disable PIR sensor flow card for battery devices
  • Add chime volume control and flow cards

Improvements

  • Mark actions and triggers as highlighted

Hello, thanks for this app.

I’m not able to add “RLC-823A 16X” camera’s to Homey. They are connected through the Home Hub Pro. Can someone help me with the reason for this?

I also have a PoE Doorbell, also connected through the same Hub, which has been added as a Homey device just fine.

Regards,
Bas-Jan

Outstanding! :ok_hand:t3::raised_fist:t3:

Thanks dude, this is awesome… I’m going to have some fun creating new advanced flows with these features  I did a quick test and it picks up my saved PTZ presets a treat :+1:t3:

In the ReoLink mobile app, make sure you can add the camera directly in the app as well as via your hub. If you can’t then you probably don’t have the necessary network service ports enabled in your camera’s advanced network settings, like this:

And then when you are adding the camera its properties in the Homey app should show the same port numbers as defaulted in the ReoLink app for it to work properly.

You get the most control and functionality from connecting Homey directly to your camera. This is my RLC-823S2 16x zoom camera that works perfectly with Homey Pro.

Please can I ask if it’s possible to have a Connection Restored trigger card? It’s great to be able to be notified when a camera or doorbell has lost connection. But if you are not at home, it would also be handy to be able to send a notification and log if and when the device came back on-line. This would help a good deal with fault finding. And for knowing when and for how long an area went un-monitored.

I can confirm that the Reolink Argus PT Ultra works with the Home Hub Mini. Thank you very much.

The Net Scan app is a perfect fit for all that functionality imho.

But how come your cams lose their connection?

Hi @Peter_Kawa,

Yes I realise that, but my Homey Pro 2026 is already creaking at the seams memory wise, and consistently running fairly high CPU (in fact I have it sat on top of a 120mm fan to keep temps down). So I want to avoid using additional apps wherever possible. And as this app already has a connection lost card, I would have thought it equally as easy to have a connection restored one.

My cameras don’t often loose connection, but on the rare occasion they do it would be nice to know when the do, and when they reconnect. Just in case it is something other than a camera or switch firmware update, it would really help with troubleshooting.

If it were possible to re-use the radios of a Homey Pro with SHS server I would switch, but as I invested a fair amount of cash in my existing hardware and can’t do that I am reluctant to change. Especially as there isn’t an easy way to migrate all my devices and advanced flows.

I’m using app version 1.2.0 and the “Doorbell button pressed” card is not working. I was using the old “Doorbell button pressed for (duration)” card and that work fine. I restarted the app, repaired the device and even restarted Homey, but no joy. I can select the doorbell and see a live feed but the event log has no doorbell pressed events. All my cameras including the doorbell are connected via Reolink Home Hub Pro. Any suggestion to fix this would be appreciated

No improvement for my Floodlight Duo in v1.2.
I’ve had this error since the app was launched.

Doorbell works fine.

The codec H265 is not support for the webproxy so you have to select a different stream or configure Reolink to use H264 if you have that option in the device settings of the Reolink app.
