App status — please read before posting an issue
Last updated: 31 July 2026
In short: Eufy is moving everything to their new “Mega” platform and switching off the old system this app uses. The app is now in maintenance mode — I’ll keep the essentials alive, but new development is moving to a new Eufy Mega integration. API’s, Notifications and event images are currently unreliable, and that’s on Eufy’s side, not something I can fully fix here.
Why the app is in maintenance mode?
Eufy is migrating their ecosystem to the newer “Mega” platform (the 5-in-1 app) and phasing out the older APIs this app was built on.
What that means going forward:
- I’ll keep the bare minimum working for as long as the old APIs stay alive.
- I won’t be adding new features to this app — the foundation it’s built on is being deprecated.
- The real work is moving to a new library built around Eufy Mega. Once it’s ready, that’s where development continues.

Notifications — hit or miss right now"
Some of you get notifications, some don’t, and it’s genuinely inconsistent. The app currently runs a hybrid of Eufy’s old and new systems, so notifications can be unreliable no matter which side your account is on — there’s no guarantee either way.
Crashes
Some people experience app crashes, this is due to the eufy api going into a loop which this app can’t handle. Unfortunately we are not aware of what eufy is doing and can’t control this either
Failing login
This can also happen. This might be that your account is already on the new V6 api and this app is not ready for that
The migration happens entirely on Eufy’s side. We can’t trigger it, it’s not tied to updating the app, and we can’t predict when or how they move an account. If yours stopped, it’s likely caught between the old system being switched off and the new one not yet active.
For now this is about as stable as it gets. Reliable notifications will come with the new Mega integration.
If you’re hitting crashes, notification, image or stream problems, the sections above are almost certainly the cause — no need to open a new report.
