Hi Jeroen,
I loved the 1 sec polling interval, it made my controls much more accurate.
Could it be made possible to manuallly set the polling interval? Set it by default to 10 sec. to prevent issues with some wifi networks and (older) homeys (Early2019), and give users the option to decrease this value to 1 sec (at their own risk)?
Kind regards, Henk.
This takes time and I will be away (holiday) next week.
Its hard to keep everyone happy and my time is very limited lately. A hard coded timer was an easy option but make it customizable is more work.
Yes I agree 1s looks more slick but the snowball effect it caused (Early 2019 dying/crashing) forced me to roll it back. If you read up there are people complaining hence this move to roll it back and (for now) make a split where the more powerful HomeyPro2023 can handle the 1s and the Early2019 cannot. A custom interval can be answer to it yes…but that requires time next to my normal job, even my weekends getting are overloaded lately. This is all “hobby” and “best effort” and try my best here.
Hi Jeroen,
I have since short the homewizard plug-in battery and added it to Homey. When it is emptied over the nigth and charging in the morning I recieve numerous messages that “de plus-in batterij is onder de 20%”. While the percentage is continuously under 20% . I have searched for a way to cancel the massages or to change the frequency, but did nut succeed. Did I miss a setting or can I do something else to stop these massages?
Hans
There is nothing in my code that triggers that. I think this is related to the Energy tab feature Athom added and the capability I need to set that the HW Plugin Battery is a homebattery.
“energy”: {
“homeBattery”: true
},
Or maybe PBTH? That one has also a device option to track/trace home battery. But that message is not a notification out of my app.
Dont own a Plugin Battery myself (still saving up) so have nothing to test / replicate.
Thnx for the quick responce.
Hi,
I have a question about the P1 meter.
What is the difference between the P1 and P1 V2?
Today I received a new P1 device ordered at Homewizard. When I added it to Homey and selected the V2 device. But there was no device found. Selecting the normal P1 device it was found and added correctly to Homey.
This looks strange to me because I supposed a new device should be the V2 device.
V2 is the APIv2 method. It needs firmware 6.x on the P1 so that might not be running yet on your P1.
Okay thx.
So if I understand it right. It’s not a Homewizard device difference, but a P1 meter device difference.
Both no. It’s a firmware difference on the P1 dongle.
The APIv2 doesn’t need any local API enabled and it’s https connection while the APIv1 is http.
beta/test
v3.6.7
- Update code for custom polling for P1 and sockets (Default is back to 10s).
Setting can be adjusted in advanced settings of the device
It seems like 3 seconds for the P1 meter is the magic number on an early 2019. I left the rest as default.
Good to hear. Enjoy.
Nice work, After update restarting Homey was needed to reconnect to the 3f meter. No settings for early 2023 I assume.
Sorry dont understand.
P1 and sockets….not the kWh (yet).
I had to sleep at 1am. ![]()

No problem. ![]()
I think I found a bug on an early 2019 with app v3.6.7. I had installed P1 v2, but then the battery started acting weird. Stopped discharging, did nothing for a while, and then discharged again. This keeps repeating itself. (also when I look in the Home Wizard app)
P1 v1 removed. Problem remains.
Dongle restarted. (removed from the meter for a while) problem remains.
Polling looks like 1 second. Time changed, and app restarted. Problem remains. (also no noticeable difference in polling)
P1 v2 removed, and v1 reinstalled and flows repaired. Everything is back to normal and working normally again.
Another thing. With a kilowatt hour meter, the standby of the inverter is registered as negative consumption. For this, please use a “solar panels” mode. So that only a positive value is registered.
No rush, I’m just reporting it.
Question, the v2 version is needed for future control, right? (read about a beta test on Tweakers)
Thanks for the great app! Really nice and it is one of the most used apps here!
Just for the information, with the latest test version I am having problems here. The water meter keeps working but the p1 meter stops updating. (Set to 10 second update). A restart of the app fixes it for a few minutes and then it stops again. A downgrade to the latest stable version solves the problem immediately. I have submitted 2 bug reports. Possibly this will help?
Thx will have a look
