As per Homewizard documentation you must use their Homewizard P1 dongle. The plugin battery will not work with any other P1. Or wait till they add support for Homewizard kwh meter (“soon”) as this is still under development.
Check - I’ll go the Homewizard route and buy their dongle.
Thanks for the quick response - much appreciated!
No problem, and thanks for your paypal donation.
The “home battery” chapter that all vendors are starting of have started nearly all lock down to their own flavor of P1, only then they can “guarantee” a proper working solution. If they rely on other flavors like in your example Plugwise they need to keep supporting that and when Plugwise changes their API interface and values or format is modified it breaks down and customers start to complain.
What you can also do, if you also want to keep Plugwise there, put a P1 splitter in between so you can still have multiple P1 dongles to use.
Ah okay and if you want to add it you have to buy the homestation?
I have add a web page app to the homey dashboard with the homewizard energy site, works perfect for the second P1 meter!
Correct, but you found a solution.
Well it works perfectly for me! so manny thanks!
Alright, I will push it to stable/live.
EDIT: v3.5.2 live now.
If devices turn up red, this is not due to app update. Restart your access point instead.
Wifi issues on your end. Either Multicast stopped or your P1 has a unreliable connection.
HomeWizard App still works great. It just doesn’t work in Homey.
Sure that is cloud based, this is different. All directly between Homey and your P1 and relies on multicast working properly.
All fine here:
Read the first post please: Often a router (and AP) restart solves the issue. Make sure your P1 has a reserved IP address. Homey is not good at finding devices which suddenly got a new IP.
I changed the P1 IP to static on the router and rebooted the router. Now P1 is working again. Thank you very much.
Beta/test → Now live (27th Mar)
v3.5.4
- Recode P1 APIv2, improved pairing process (credit to DCSBL)
- Pairing process P1 and Plugin Battery aligned
Beta/test → now live
v3.5.5
- Plugin in Battery pairing text fix (old text was P1, but this must be plugin battery press button)
Is there an issue with the app? This morning all my Homewizard devices via homey show unavailable and when try to restart app it mentions app not installed
Just restart Homey. This solved the issue.
Restarted but did not resolve the issue
If that did not help you have to raise ticket with Athom/Homey support.
I cant fix your problem if the app is not installed at all.
