Looking for some advice here. Today my P1 meter got the firmware update to 6.0209. I do not own a plug-in battery. Is there any advantage in switching over to the APIv2 version?
No, APIv2 only gives extra features for PIB.
You can keep it as your current one.
Brainfart: What if you delete the first added battery device, and add it again?
Maybe then the capability order will be the same as the “second” battery?
And that is exactly what I don’t want. I want current usage on top, logical place to see what the power usage/storage is.
In general it is weird that we cannot chose what lines are in the tiles in own chosen format.
I want this on top, someone else maybe wants batt level on top.
Nice to have option to choose.
For now it is not something the dev can fix, and Athom is aware, and maybe something will be done about this. For now it is what it is.
Oh advise Athom gave was to generate a virtual device (device capability app) and use that to create the lines as I want.
Duh………![]()
Ah, I see.
That’s right. I probably got used to it / gave in, but I don’t understand (at all) why we can’t change the order, and why we can’t change the displayed names of the capabilities. This still hasn’t changed since I started with Homey 5 years ago.
.
Yeah that’s indeed one of the workarounds.
You even can add the batteries into 1 virtual device ![]()
I havent ventured into widgets (yet) maybe that is something to look at as a workaround.
Just a glance on what I am working on (alpha testing)
- P1 (apiv2) - change from polling to websocket based (ie. realtime data)
- Plugin battery: SoC drift detection trigger (flow)
- Plugin battery: Error detection trigger (flow)
If websocket method is working fine for P1, I will also update Plugin Battery and both the KWH meters.
Huge update mainly to have the P1 and Plugin Battery being websocket ready/enabled.
By default it will be websocket based, but if you face performance issues you can enable a check box found in the P1 (apiv2) advanced device settings which will fallback to poll based polling and stop websocket usage.
v3.7.0 (test/beta)
- Trigger card for battery SoC Drift (triggers on expected vs actual State-of-charge)
- Trigger card for battery error (based on energy returned to grid while battery group should be charging)
- Trigger card for battery netfrequency out of range
- Icon update for various capabilities
- Battery group details added to P1apiv2. (Charging state)
- Realtime data for P1 (apiv2) via Websocket
- Realtime data for Plugin Battery via Websocket
- Bugfixes/crashes on P1 (apiv2) - no gas data on first poll / ignore
- Websocket reconnect code for covering wifi disconnect & terminate issues
- Plugin Battery group fix (tracking combined set of batteries) - bugfix / Refenece error
- Netfrequency capability added for Plugin Battery
- Homewizard Legacy - code rollback (pairing problems after improvements)
- P1 (apiv2) - Added checkbox setting to fallback to polling if websocket is to heavy for Homey device
Hello.
Today my homewizard app i think was updated to v3.7.0(test). I noticed i could use this devices anymore and had a red exclamtion mark. Restarting the app i got a error not installed. I tryed to install it, but it didn’t work. Restarting homey pro early 2023 and installing then doesn’t work either.
I tried installing the stable app but it still wouldn’t install. Is this a app problem or homey problem?
After a restart i could install the stable version. When installed i tried the test version. But the app got removed and i couldn’t install the stable version back. Until i restarted homey.
Strange, another user also faces the same problem where it doesn’t update.
I update some extra code and as it’s a new feature for the app I found it more fitting to tag it as v3.7.0 and not v3.6.86 etc. Why it now fails is a mystery.
I always test run it locally on my own Homey and that is fine.
It’s possibly due to the IPv6 bug
Hi, same issue here as Pieter Pessers. My device also has an red exclamation mark with the error “Apparaat Onbeschikbaar – request to http://192.168.1.41/api/v1/data failed, reason: connect ETIMEDOUT 192.168.1.41:80“ (Local-IP:port)
Same for the watermeter, homewizard app works, so figured I had to look here for help.
As a test I removed the watermeter and wanted to reinstall it, but I won’t be found anymore? Maybe a restart will work… just giving some more info
EDIT 16.25: het werkt weer bij mij. Dank je wel Jeroen
Ditto here. All red signs and app not installed
What did you do to get It back?
I did nothing. This is really beyond me. I think the package got corrupted somehow at the portal.
What I can try is bump the version update and push it again tonight or tomorrow.
Cannot of back to previous version too. Then everthing is empty.
Will wait to see if the repush of the app Fixes the issue. Until then all red ![]()
I pushed it again as v3.7.1 hoping that help you guys
Restart homey did the trick… lets call it “magic” ![]()
Maybe that is something I need to implement weekly at sunday night 23.55 or at least monthly. I dont have issues often, but if I have them a reboot solves the ones without any good reason
Restart and installed .1 version and all came back

Since this morning the connection with my 3 phase kWh meter failed ( in the homewizard app everything is normal). I tried to remove it to add it again. But that doesn’t seem to work anymore.
