Don’t run RC’s ![]()
Now you’ll have to wait for the next update.
Since you are on rc.3 I assume you have a Homey Pro 2023.
If the latest RC firmware is really the problem, you might want to try to rc.4 that is just released.
It should solve Zigbee startup problems:
If that doesn’t help, you can revert to the latest stable version; see here:
I have a similar issue since updating to 12.13.0-rc.3. In my case Zigbee does start, but all devices are VERY slow to respond! I have a combination of Z-Wave and Zigbee. I see the Z-Wave motion PIR become active instantly and then only after 30-60 seconds the lights switch on. If I switch the lights using the the Homey app, it is also very slow.
Same goes for smart plugs. Updated to 12.13.0-rc.4, but that didn’t fix my issue. Pulled the plug for 10 minutes or more several times, didn’t fix the issue. Did a regular restart a few times.
Guess I’ll have to wait until the next stable release comes out. Too bad that even the Developer Tools don’t offer a lot of control on the Zigbee network.
Zigbee went back early this morning …
Good for you
I’m still waiting ![]()
@GD91 do you have Tuya Zigbee devices? If so, could you please check the TX, TX error and RX values? In my case for all Tuya Zigbee devices the TX is going through the roof!
I have about 28 Tuya Zigbee devices and all of them are sending messages at least every second. Even if I set the polling interval to 3600
Yes, I have several of them
How, could I read these datas ?
If you go to Homey Developer Tools, you can see something like this:
All the ones with manufacturer and model id something like this:
| _TZ3000_w0qqde0g | TS011F |
|---|
are Tuya devices. That’s where you can see the TX values.
Customer support is still looking into my issues. They seem unrelated to the RC3, but surfaced at that time.
Im on SHS and moved to 12.12 last night. All zigbee Tuya devices are non responsive.
For a transmitter TX = 15, RX = 432
For other devices TX = 4800 RX = 5500/6500
Regards
Rx im getting none on some devices snd tx im getting low numbers fir 100% failure
That’s ok. It is nothing like what I am experiencing
Is this an update issue with homey or a Tuya issue?
As far as I can see it always has been a Tuya issue (sending way too many messages) and now it surfaces
Sadly many of my devices are Tuya and its now impacting end devices so home is dying ![]()
You can buy a Tuya ZigBee or MultiMode gateway and add the devices via the official Tuya app:
But i shouldnt have to.
Smartthings cost barely anything and was always solid.
It lacks much and thats why i moved to Homey but the devices drop offline alot.
The device limit of the bridge is shocking - should have been an update to support the power of shs
So i sdd my device, make all my flows and then it crashes again, and what i need another hub otop of the £100s ive spent on homey already!
At least the Tuya hubs are cheap (on AliExpress at least)
I don’t think this is a Homey problem. I have been working all night and changed the Tuya Zigbee app that I am using on my own Homey. That allows me to send to some of the power plugs the setting that they should only report on more than 5 Watt/1A or 10Volt of change.
I am going to test this for a bit now.
If this works it is clear that it is the Tuya plugs that share way too much data and too often. You need to tone that down. Just using a Tuya Zigbee app, without changing the setting on the device itself will not fix the issue as the 2.4Ghz network is still flooded…. you just don’t see it
