Don’t just uninstall a app! Then you can do all the flows from scratch. Lol
Yes, wait. Enable updates for the app, it needs an update from Athom, or a revert from Hue (which I doubt will happen).
Do not disable updates.
Do not revert/restore backups, it will not make a difference
Do not remove the app. (unless you want to redo all your flows)
This feels very amaturistic. A rollback should at least be on the table with this many problems.
Same problem here!
Why do they update this at the end of the day?
Maybe better to have an better maintenance window for it.
Interesting is that i have my Hue and Homey in different subnets.
> After a wireshark capture in my firewall i dont see any traffic generated from homey to the hue bridge…
This is the moment i want to use the Hue without the bridge and the philips Hue without the bridge app and using the zigbee network only.
This is the third time Athom screwed up an app.
Hope to get the old version back soon.
Only thing what they need to do was. TESTING.
Unbelievable hahah
Looking at the change log of the Hue App:
5.5.8
Apr 20, 2022
Decreased discovery poll interval to prevent rate limits.
Maybe they decreased the discovery poll to once a year… LOL
You can do that yourself, isn’t that cool??
https://support.homey.app/hc/en-us/requests/new
The hue app without bridge app lacks support for certain Devices and device versions. Talked to developer a year ago about a new hardware version of the motion sensor, but it still hasn’t been implemented.
Same problem here
Ai… oke so that is also not a option.
Verry too bad… because with using that app the light response faster than using the the Hue light via the bridge.
How did you come to this conculsion? https://discovery.meethue.com/ is used which is rate limited somehow by Philips Hue (Signify). If you go there you will get a code 429. 429 Too Many Requests - HTTP | MDN
add /test to the end of URL in the homey app store hue without the bridge app page. Then you get access to the latest version which support the new motion sensors.
Diabolical, amateurs at best.
Third, it’s about the 10th app for me. Most stopped working over 2 years ago and still haven’t/won’t be fixed
Same problem with hue 5.5.8 update, i uninstall and install the hue app, all lamps did disappear, no be able to install them again
Hi
Right. A test version?
What a bunch of amateurs at Athom!!! They update - do not blame Philips as Athom is the owner of the app - just before 6 pm and go home!? Never tested this app.
That is the unrelated issue that Athom fixed with the latest update, yes. However their statuspage https://status.homey.app/ notes an issue with the discovery service for the bridge. Which has changed.
Seen a Hue Essential update 3 weeks ago that adressed just that.
I don’t understand that only Homey has the problem with Hue. My old Honewizard, Siri, Domoticz, Google and Alexa see no problem with the Hue and just find the Hue Bridge. So the Hue is the same, only the connected devices are different. Every other device works and sees the Hue, except Homey.
Where is the problem then, if you put these facts in one row.![]()
