How do I backup my 5 Homey Pro's on 1 account to the cloud?

How do I backup my 5 Homey Pro’s (1x 2019 & 4x 2023) to the cloud with 1 homey account?

Why not an account addition per Homey that I can buy, but still with 1 account instead of a extra backup account? And can U make it easier to copy or move flows and devices amongst the Homey Pro’s?

Or make it so like WiFi, the devices connect to the best signal, but without automatic roaming.

So it stays with the Homey Pro onto wich it was installed first. And if U want to move it to another Homey Pro, U have to manualy set a “one shot button” to release it from the “owner” Hamey Pro, so it can connect to the new “owner” …

I have 1 master that is getting slow due to all the devices in my home and all the advanced flows, and I want to split it all up on the different Homey Pro’s with each has it’s specific tasks.

Like licht task on 1 Homey Pro, Climate Control on another, And so on…

Thanks and greeting from Paul,

Eindhoven.

Athom doesn’t read this forum, you should issue a support request: https://support.homey.app/hc/en-us/articles/360015784034-Submitting-a-support-request

Last time I asked it was not possible,
You have to create a owner with a subscription for 3 Homeys. So at least 2 accounts for 5 Homey’s and and you can make them manager on the other Homey’s.

Hoi Robert,

Thanks for this information.

I directly issuet a support request to Athom.

(only) for advanced flow, there’s this flow exporter & importer, part of the Device Capabilities app:

I don’t understand the next questions you had, but it’s best to discuss those with support like you just did.

Oh, one handy tool is the HomeyLink app.
You can import and control devices of other Homey’s and start flows on the remote Homey’s. This can be installed on any of your Homey’s, so all Homey’s are both controller and satellite.

Well that’s quick. This long awaited flow im/exporter works for both types:

(thanks for sharing @SunBeech !)
.

Copy / move devices is not possible.
But when you restore a backup, you in fact “copy or move” (some) devices, just delete devices you don’t want afterwards, on both Homeys.
It depends a bit if you have an empty Homey to work with or not, because everything will be restored from backups.

Note

when z-wave or zigbee is involved, never run a second Homey at the same time, until you made sure there’s no duplicate z-wave/zigbee devices left.
(This includes Matter-over-Thread)
