So another user explained that it should work with Matter. If it doesn’t for you, perhaps you should explain why exactly, instead of believing ChatGPT telling you to use Zigbee when Homey doesn’t even support the device over Zigbee at the moment.

Well, here is my test/goal. I ordered two FP300’s. First added it to Homey through Matter. It is recognised and works. But in Flows I only see Movement sensor cards. Tested with that, but lights go off very often with presence. So I changed the card “Sensor goes off” to “No present for 10 minutes”. But I don’t see any Presence cards…
It was explained that due to limitations of Homey’s Matter implementation, the device is presented as a motion sensor, not a presence sensor. But the motion should persist while there are people present. Did I understand that correctly, @Torbjorn_Melbye?

I tried with three methods:
- Directly via matter to Homey
- I added Aqara hub via Matter to Homey while Homey was acting as main controller. Then via matter to Aqara hub and then to Homey,
- I added the FP300 to the Aqara hub via zigbee and it was automatically recognised in Homey.
In all methods the FP300 acts in Homey exactly the same. It is a motion sensor which is detecting motion as long as there are persons present. It functions very well
The big difference is that in method 3 there are lot of settings available in the Aqara home app.
The Homey app “matter bridge” had no added value. I removed it with no harm.
The correctly functioning of the FP300 is highly dependent on the right mounting.

It is similar like the fp300. Lot of features not available through Matter, but with Aqara Zigbee Hub.
Would be great if the homey Aqara app would have the features similar the Aqara Hub if you will connect them through Zigbee using Homeys Zigbee Stack

Have you already solved this problem? I have the same issue. I added the fp300 only to homey as a matter device.
Version 1.15.0 of the Aqara app is available in the App Store, with direct support of the FP300 sensor, see:

What options are available for the sensor itself and flow?
Is this different if it is connected via the Aqara hub? @TedTolboom
According to his post in the Aqara topic:
When I had it directly to the hub it was slow to show absence, when in the hub it happened instantly after I shared it with homey.
I have now also linked them via an aqara hub via zigbee but I only have in homey the option motion detector goes off and on ? No option presence is that in the homey app then?
When directly connecting to Homey, the same sensors and settings are available as when using the sensor directly with the Aqara Hub.
So with separate presence and motion detection.

Ive connect it via the Aqara Hub m100 but i only see motion detection and no presence?
We’re talking about the Homey Aqara app, so adding the device directly to Homey as a Zigbee device. Not via the Aqara hub.
