How did you connect to Homey? Did you put the fp300 in pairing mode and did it keep the zigbee connection? According to the manual this is not possible…?
Aqara Fp300 is out of stock on Amazon, anyone know another source in the USA?
My Aqara E1 hub is connected to Homey via Matter. This means that any Aqara device connected to E1 is automatically showing up in Homey
Are your lights going off after 10 second ?
I’ve setup in the aqara app a away timer after 10 seconds but sometimes the going off quickly sometimes it takes around 1 minute ore more
No delay for me
So your light going off after 10 seconds of no movement ?
Can someone please help me?
If I receive the FP300, probably tomorrow, and I install it on my Aqara hub, will I automatically see it on my Homey as well (I have my Aqara hub connected to my Homey)?
I’m currently trying to install an FP1E, and I see it on my Aqara hub, but I can’t seem to see it on my Homey Pro. Even though I have a connection from the Aqara hub to Homey (the current device is connected to other ecosystems, and Homey is listed there).
How do I get it to show up in Homey Pro after installing it on the Aqara hub? Can someone help me with this?
Now only €20,99, I have 2 FP300’s connected now via Matter but yes, there is a little delay in switching off. I will order the Aqara hub and connect 1 via Zigbee to see what more I can configure in Zigbee mode. In my living I use a FP-2 as it can configure multiple zones, which is perfect. Also use a FP-2 for sleep tracking in my bedroom, also perfectly working.
where for 20,99?
Amazon, BF price
How far from your bathroom sensors is the E1 hub located?
I’m finding Thread devices can’t penetrate my bathroom wall (tiles) very well.
I have a decent mesh network. Around 16 Aqara T2 GU10s and some Onvis thread plugs, but I have inconsistent reporting from a bathroom presence sensor.
Perhaps switching to the E1 + an FP300 could be worth a go
It’s recently added to the Aqara app for Homey. You should be able to pair it directly.
Yes, I have seen it. Thank you @Peter_Kawa
Today I get me new FP300. I hope homey will update that one too. What do you think what is the best way to connect? Tru aqara hub or via homey pro.
I have a little problem and question. When I connect a aqara device om my aqara hub, I will not see it in my homey pro. But I have connect my aqara hub to my homey. Why I can’t see it? What do I have to do?
Thank you Peter, it is working fine ![]()
You need to share it with the Homey Pro from the Aqara Hub app on your phone.
Well, I read a lot about this and now I bought one. Can’t connect to the Aqara App because I did not ordered the Hub. Thought I could connect it directly though Matter to the HP, it now is only an expensive PIR sensor without presence. Is the Hub really needed for presence? Other options? The Aqara App doesn’t work because the lack of a hub.
The sensor does connect directly to Homey via matter. It is a presence sensor. In Homey it looks the same as a pir sensor, but it works differently. The presence sensor does not turn off the motion alarm before you leave the area. A pir sensor turns it off on a timer.
Well, that’s what I tried, but it doesn’t work. ChatGPT said that it only works with Zigbee so I updated it through the App to Zigbee. But now HP sees it as a standard Zigbee device…
Think I need an M2 Hub?
ChatGPT is known to lie.
What Homey model do you have?
The FP300 is a multi protocol device, that is able to connect directly to Homey through Matter (out of the box) on a Homey Pro 2023 and through Zigbee with any Homey platform with updating the device protocol with the use of the Aqara Home (iOS / Android) app (no hub required).
Note: the FP300 is one of the first multi protocol Aqara devices that are being released…
I will release support for both integrations in the next Aqara app update (v1.15.0), including a instruction / video how to change the device protocol.
The zigbee implementation in Homey’s Aqara app is matching closely the integration when connecting it to a Aqara hub. The matter implementation is a bit more basic (as it has to follow the formal Matter definition).
