The aqara hub uses the homey matter system. Aqara and Homey are bind together as ecosystems with Homey as main controller. (I think the advantage of the new matter bridge app)
There is a setting to adjust the blind time. A timer to detect absence. Standard setting is 10 seconds. I posted a screenshot (in Dutch) earlier (post 80)
But if I share matter devices from apple HomePod to homey via homey pro then it use the network from homey?
You first add the m100 to the aqara app and then via Homey
That’s interesting. I just testet, and it took about 90 seconds from leaving the room until motion was no longer detected in Homey.
The Matter Bridge app has nothing to do with that, this is a feature of Matter (and Thread) itself.
Apparently, the Aqara hub can use Homey’s Thread network (and as such, doesn’t set up its own Thread network), which would suggest that Thread devices will all end up in a single Thread network, and will therefore fortify the mesh.
AFAIK, it doesn’t. Both Homey and the HomePod will act as border routers, and Matter will be used to communicate between Homey and the HomePod, not Thread.
No, I first added to Homey and then to the Aqara home app
Then is it logical that it uses homeys network right @robertklep
@Jan_Albert but first you need to set it up (Aqara 100 hub) in the Aqara hub?
I am also having an issue where the motion alarm is not turning off, it’s been 10 hours. I only have it connected to it homey pro.
No, I did the setup afterwards.
- I added fp300 to Homey
- I generated a qr code with the homey bridge app
- The aqara home app added homey as main controller to the eco system of Aqara
- I scanned with aqara home app the qr code of the fp300 as shared device (according to the instructions of the Homey bridge app)
- I setup the fp300 in the aqara home app. I put the sensitivity on high and checked the firmware.
I do not know if step 3 is needed and I do not want to test rightnow because it works fine. What I can see is that the two ecosystems are bind together and that the fp300 is using the Homey ecosystem. And it is still possible to use and configure the fp300 in the Aqara home app.
Will you concede now that Thread 1.3 is better implemented on Homey?
Better than what?
Solved but the 10 seconds not working
Strange.
I went a little different route, but seem to have the 300 working.
Put it in the aqara android app via the 100, then shared it with homey. I am getting immediate presence and absence readings.
Then you use the aqara thread network. I use the homey thread network. Result is the same…. I get this in the Aqara android app:
I use the apple home pod network
