[APP][Pro] Ubiquiti UniFi Protect

I can’t get the stream to work on my doorbell either.

I have the lite version. Works in the browser on homey. But not in the android app.

Thanks for your reply.

After completely removing the app and reinstalling it, the cameras have stayed online and are working correctly again :+1:

For reference, in case more people experience the same issue, this is what happened on my side:

On the Home screen of the app, both on my phone and tablet, I use widgets for these cameras. After the last update, the camera feeds stayed black.

The cameras were added using RTSP links, so I removed them and added them again. That initially brought the feeds back, but after a short period they stopped working again.

I do have several other cameras as well, but these are not doorbells and they continued to work without any issues.

After completely removing the app and reinstalling it, the problem disappeared and the doorbell camera feeds have remained stable since then.

Hello,
I have a UniFi Doorbell G6 Pro Entry and a UniFi G6 360. The camera feeds work on the web version, but not on the Homey iOS app. When I click on the feed, I see an image for one second and then the feed goes black. I have installed your beta version.

Loek Hendriks

Since the latest homey version i am getting a “cannot read property of null (reading websocket)” error when trying to configure the app. I can no longer authenticate and all the devices are no longer responding. Already tried reinstalling the app.

App version: 1.11.4

Homey: 13.4.1

Unify OS: 5.1.31

Network: 10.6.101

Protect: 7.2.105

Diagnostic id: 33423821-14a1-4619-98fd-45f72f62f507

I displayed some text using "set LCD message," but how do I get the display back to normal? The text has been there for 24 hours and a reset doesn't help. G6 Pro Entry.

Looks like your IP address is not correct

Did you already look at the Protect App (UniFi) and change it there?

I don’t see any option to adjust this anywhere in the Protect app—neither on the iPhone nor via Site Manager on a PC.

Double checked and it is correct.

Also the websocket error happens when opening the config page after an app reinstall.

I did however manage to get semi working with the protect v2 api token. Only the streams are not working. Even when entering the rtsp url.

Update today and enjoy a smoother setup experience, improved reliability, and a more robust UniFi Protect integration for Homey!

The G6 Pro Entry offers two different configuration paths:

If the G6 Pro Entry is managed directly via Protect, there are more options for the display/video greetings.
If it is used via a UA Hub and UniFi Access, the display is managed through Access → Interface Designer, but certain features are unavailable there. Ubiquiti itself confirms this in recent community discussions.
My G6 Pro Entry is connected behind a UA Hub....

Hello team, the smoke detectors have been released. Would it be possible for you to add cards to the flow? I can help if needed, I have two at home. thank you!

Yes, Sensors in the Homey App. today I created an test version 1.12.5 with more triggers. Not tested because I dont have smoke sensors.

HI, great work with the app @ObelixNL . One question that might be a limitation in the Homey pro dashboard widgets. But for doorbells is it possible to rotate the image to “standing” as this would scale better with doorbell cameras? this is from my doorbell lite would look better if the view was taller rather than stretched sideways.

Hallo

I have try multiple time to re-install de plugin.

In de browser the camera and the doorbell working good. In de homey iOS app not. Have someone an idea what I can do. I have add screen shot. The first photo is when de camera is loading and then I get the second photo with the black screen

Homey app version 10.1.1.2098

On iOS 26.6.1 iPhone 17

Homey pro 2026 13.5.0

UniFi protect version 1.12.5

I have a number of Unifi camera’s and am trying to have them show up in my Homey 2026 Pro with the Unifi protect and access app V2 beta. I’ve entered the ip-adres of the server and port 443 and the api key generated in Protect. But when I test the connection it says key is invalid.

How to proceed? Help is very much appricated!

My Unifi camera’s are on a different vlan (10.1) then my homey pro 2026 (40.1). How can I configure the app to change to the correct vlan?

That’s not how VLAN’s work. You need to configure your firewall so Homey can access the camera devices on the other VLAN.

De firewall settings are ok, I’m using the V2 beta with API key and is says API key invalid.
