Note: if you are upgrading from a previous (beta) version, please re-add your devices.

Getting started:

  1. Create a local access user in the UniFi Protect web interface (used only for Homey.
  2. Install this UniFi Protect app on your Homey.
  3. Go to the UniFi Protect appā€™s settings page.
  4. You will be prompted to enter the credentials of the UniFi Video user you created in step 2 and some network information.
  5. Start the ā€˜add device wizardā€™ in Homey, search for your UniFi Cloud Key and/or cameras and add them to your devices.
  6. If the user credentials changed in UniFi Protect, they can be updated on the UniFi Protect appā€™s settings page.

Usage:

  • A flow can be triggered when motion detection on a camera starts or ends.
  • A flow can be triggered when a snapshot is created on a camera. This card supplies the name of the camera that created the snapshot and the snapshot image itself.
  • A flow action card can be used to create a snapshot, which is is saved to an Image tag.
  • A flow action card is available to set a cameraā€™s recording mode, being one of ā€˜Donā€™t recordā€™, ā€˜Always recordā€™ or ā€˜Record only motionā€™.

Notice:
In a beta version of Unifi Protect, all information about the NVR itself has been removed. We have made the NVR itself deprecated as a device and will be removed in the next version.
Remove the NVR from your devices. The NVR is also no longer obliged to install it first.

Troubleshooting / FAQ:

  • I am using UniFiĀ® Dream Machine Pro and canā€™t connect.

    • You must select ā€˜UnifiOsā€™ in the Application Settings.

  • I get a lot of false motion alerts. Is there anything to do about that?

    • Turn off ā€˜Enable Auto Rotateā€™ and rotate the camera manually.
    • Remove the default motion zone and create a motion zone with only the zone what you want to detect motions.
    • Set ā€˜Minimum seconds of motion to trigger eventā€™ on 1 second or higher

  • Do you have more tips? let me know!

  • I am using a UnifiOS device, I donā€™t see any storage information.

    • UnifiOS device does not release storage information through the API.

Ik wil wel helpen! Heb al een tijdje unifi protect draaien. Was van plan om zelf de app te bouwen! Maar dit scheelt weer werk :wink:

Ze zijn hem nu aan het keuren bij Athom, zodra hij door de keuring komt zal ik de link bekend maken!

Zou graag een videostream casten op de nest met displays als iemand aanbelt

Ondersteuning voor de deurbel trigger zou ook tof zijn :wink:

Zodra de deurbel in Nederland te bestellen is zal ik kijken of ik er Ć©Ć©n kan bestellen en daarna integreren in de app. Tot die tijd even geduld tenzij iemand wat anders voor mij kan regelen dat ik hem eerder heb.

De deurbel werkt inmiddls super goed. Worden de G4 detecties (Smart Detections) ook nog geimplementeerd?

Heb sinds vorige week de G4 Deurbel, en zou graag de live videostream voor een bepaalde tijd willen casten op mijn Google Hub, liefst ook met 2 weg geluid. Is dit al geĆÆmplementeerd in de app, en zo ja, hoe doe ik dat, want heb nu alleen een screenshot voor elkaar gekregen.

Wellicht een ā€˜Wanneer Device X heeft Persoon gedetecteerdā€™ weergeven in ā€˜Alsā€™. Zoā€™een notificatie krijg ik nuā€¦

@nielsoet Helaas komen deze meldingen niet apart binnen via de websocket.

Helaas is dat niet mogelijk, Google Hub ondersteund geen rtsp verbindingen. RTSP url wordt wel mee gegeven in de kaart wanneer deze is geactiveerd op de camera.

Werkt hij ook met CloudKit g2

kan de G4 deurbel netjes toevoegen en bekijken maar krijg geen flow aan de gang die afgaat als de deurbel af gaat.
Is wel een actie voor maar die lijkt niets te doen, kan iemand een werkende flow delen dan kan ik hopenlijk zien wat ik fout doe.

Werkt goed op een Cloudkey Gen2 Plus, Gen2 werkt het niet omdat deze geen harddisk heeft.

lijkt dat bij mij event ā€œEen deurbel rinkeltā€ niet opgevangen wordt, moet ik ook iets met de ā€œCameraā€ tag doen hiervoor ?
Of een instelling in protect zelf?
Kan wel op de deurbel klikken in devices (homey) en ook snapshots zien maar doe iets fout met het ā€œA doorbell is ringingā€ event denk ik.
