[APP][Pro] Homewizard 🧙‍♂️

I am a network engineer myself and also use Unifi/Ubiquiti as Wifi. Only router is a opnsense box that does mDNS relay/repeat over the vlans (IoT). So just pull the AP cable from the the POE switch port for that AP and see if that helps. Also make sure your mukticast settings on your vlan where the mdns devices sit(s) are enabled. Also Client isolation (if homey is on same AP) is disabled.

My 2cents

No rush…. Thanks for the consideration of putting it in.
Will wait for the new version if it is in there or not.
Have a great end of year.

Hi Jeroen, I can’t seem to get it to work yet. But I was wondering…

I had the same problem with finding some kitchen appliances in my network. I have Miele ovens, but for some reason the Miele app could not find the plate warmer. Possibly because of the same issue with mDNS not properly broadcasted through my Unifi network (a Unifi bug?). The Miele app, however, had an alternative onboarding procedure, where I could enter the IP-address directly in the Miele app so that it could onboard it into the Miele smart home environment (and subsequently integrate it into HomeyPro).

I can see and I know the IP addresses of my HW devices in my Unifi system. If the HW app in HomeyPro would allow me to onboard the devices by entering the IP address directly, this perhaps could solve the issue?

I understand that you developed this app. Would this be of a valuable requirement to implement? Is that possible to code in a future update of the app?

Thanks!

Hey, is there support for Belgian watermeters ?

Not yet, you are the first asking.

Oh then i´m the first… no rocket sience i guess… similar to gas_meter.

Seems to be an external source while gas meter is listed in the main section. But yeah not rocket science. Need to find time to add that next to my normal day job.

I have the same issue unfortunately… Everything worked fine until a few weeks ago.

Using the mDNS app, I can see my P1 and water meter fine. However, Homey is not able to find the devices (I tried re-adding them).

Any other advise on how to add the meters again?

Restart your access point that Homey is connected with.

Thank you for your quick reply.

I restarted all my APs and the P1 Meter, but Homey is not able to find it.

Any other suggestions or logs / details I can share to help resolve this issue?

Last one is reboot/restart Homey. There is a step by step checklist at the top of this topic.

Wow, how many times do I tell others; “Have you tried turnining it off and on again?”…

Thanks, this resolved it

Yeah I know…sorry. 99% of the issues here are local wifi issues, still I get the blame its an error/bug in this app. Not to mention the unsolicited diagnostic reports in my mailbox that nothing is working.

Since a couple of days (last update??) the variable “Huidig vermogen” from my p1 meter is not working any more in flows and graphs.
The flow and graph have veen working for over a year, but stopped last week

HomeWizard v3.3.25 - Homey pro E23: 12.2.1

Flow:

Graph: NO data displayed.

From the device: the current power is filled:

Please create a diagnostic report maybe log shows something.

Strange, you are right. This worked before now it doesnt. Need time to investigate.
In the mobile app it doesn’t show since 13:00 today.
Getting the feeling it’s an insight issue instead.

FYI it looks OK on a Pro 2019, Jeroen

mine show no data at all, not for the last 6 months…
I am sure it did work before, bacause I have several flows depending on it. and used to work just fine…

Now I am thinking about it… our city had a complete power failure last week for about 5 minutes. I think it stopped working from the moment the power went back up…

Could that have f*cked up the device ? Or just a coincidence ?

Is this on a Homey Pro 2023 like me?
