I am a network engineer myself and also use Unifi/Ubiquiti as Wifi. Only router is a opnsense box that does mDNS relay/repeat over the vlans (IoT). So just pull the AP cable from the the POE switch port for that AP and see if that helps. Also make sure your mukticast settings on your vlan where the mdns devices sit(s) are enabled. Also Client isolation (if homey is on same AP) is disabled.
Hi Jeroen, I can’t seem to get it to work yet. But I was wondering…
I had the same problem with finding some kitchen appliances in my network. I have Miele ovens, but for some reason the Miele app could not find the plate warmer. Possibly because of the same issue with mDNS not properly broadcasted through my Unifi network (a Unifi bug?). The Miele app, however, had an alternative onboarding procedure, where I could enter the IP-address directly in the Miele app so that it could onboard it into the Miele smart home environment (and subsequently integrate it into HomeyPro).
I can see and I know the IP addresses of my HW devices in my Unifi system. If the HW app in HomeyPro would allow me to onboard the devices by entering the IP address directly, this perhaps could solve the issue?
I understand that you developed this app. Would this be of a valuable requirement to implement? Is that possible to code in a future update of the app?
Seems to be an external source while gas meter is listed in the main section. But yeah not rocket science. Need to find time to add that next to my normal day job.
Yeah I know…sorry. 99% of the issues here are local wifi issues, still I get the blame its an error/bug in this app. Not to mention the unsolicited diagnostic reports in my mailbox that nothing is working.
Since a couple of days (last update??) the variable “Huidig vermogen” from my p1 meter is not working any more in flows and graphs.
The flow and graph have veen working for over a year, but stopped last week
Strange, you are right. This worked before now it doesnt. Need time to investigate.
In the mobile app it doesn’t show since 13:00 today.
Getting the feeling it’s an insight issue instead.
mine show no data at all, not for the last 6 months…
I am sure it did work before, bacause I have several flows depending on it. and used to work just fine…
Now I am thinking about it… our city had a complete power failure last week for about 5 minutes. I think it stopped working from the moment the power went back up…
Could that have f*cked up the device ? Or just a coincidence ?
