[APP][Pro] Homewizard 🧙‍♂️

Mesh network from tp link deco x60
No vlan’s
Nog wifi client isolation
both are restart a couple of times.
After a few hours or sometimes a few days it works again

Well this is not my app problem. This is homey that can’t reach your P1.
Assuming you reboot/restarted Homey as well?

Problems with the homewizard plugs.
Other devices work fine.

Restarted app of homewizard, restarted homey, problem persists.

Homewizard app works fine.

Hi, check first post in this topic for tips.

Hi,

I recently installed a homewizard 3phase kwh meter.
The purpose is to measure the usage of each phase in my household to detect where most of my consumption is going.

pretty high on idle consumtion in the house.

the troube i get myself into is that i also use a homewizard p1 dongle.

and now it all starts adding up in my total account.

so my p1 registrate (if im correct) my solar and my car charger.
and i would like to measure what just my house usage is without solar and car charger.

after the meter it split up to three stages.

1: house with all it groups
2: car carger
3: solar panels

is there any way i can get the 3phase kwh meter to stop printing to the energy consumer app?

or am i not thinking in the right direction.

any help would be apreciated

Your question/problem is not really clear to me.
One thing for sure there is no meter value in any of the devices that show you the usage internally of your household. The only way is the combination of what P1 shows and what the Solar inverter (kwh) can measure. There is only one short coming / caveat with the 3 phase kwh meter is that I can’t mark one phase as solar and the other not. This is a limitation of Homey as the type is set per device and not individually per phase.

What you can do is try to change the socket type on the SDM630 to solar and see if that flags it partially to solar (generating) power as the kwh3 has a combination of that.

I will try to explain it simply.

When I have a wall socket that reports energy usage. Like for example 10w.
It shows up in livingroom and total.

When i use a plug socket and put that in that wall socket it doubles up.

So it uses still 10w in total instead of 20w.

So one of those needs to be out of the usage meter.

Hope this example explains it all.

So basically you want to have KWH meter in Homey but it has to be removed from the Homey usage pie chart view?

In short terms yes.
But don’t know if that is the right way of thinking.

Sadly this was possible but not anymore.
All this what you don’t want is inherited from the capabilities that come with the device (meter_power, measure_power).
This is beyond me.

Possible option would to remove the kWh device and utilize the API data yourself with flows with get json cards and pull those values.

To bad. A missing opportunity!
But then I need to study how to fill a Vd with json material. Done that once before somewhere in a flow…

Thanks for the quick response! Have a nice weekend.

Yeah sorry. :disappointed:

well i created some virtual devices.
they also count in the Homey usage pie chart view.

so that doesnt work sadly

Since a couple of weeks, my Homewizard sockets loose the connection to Homey. >>> “Apparaat Onbeschikbaar”.
When I restart the app, sometimes 2 or 3 times, mostly they connect again. This repeats every day now.
To start solving this, I already did the following:
I gave the 3 sockets fixed IP-addresses in my network and restarted the routers after that. In the router I see that the sockets are connected.
I restarted the Homey also a couple of times.
At the moment that they are unavailable in Homey, I can see the 3 sockets in the Homewizard app and Wifi is 74 to 100%. The local API is ON.
I also see the sockets in mDNS with the fixed IP addresses and api_enabled =1.
I use Homewizard app version v3.3.17 on Homey Pro (Early 2019) version 12.1.0.
What other things can I try to finally solve this?

So you start your post already with a comment “since a couple of weeks”. So what changed back then that started this?
Key thing to all these problems raised here in this topic is wifi connectivity/ stability issues. I recon when I ask for a diagnositic report I will see timeout issues between Homey and (in your case) the sockets that turn red.

Wifi can be a blessing but also a pain to keep going without issues.
See if there noise / signal / channel issues with the AP(s) that handle your Homey device and/or sockets. Zigbee is also known to interfere here as it is on the same frequency, dint know if you do/have zigbee (hue? Ikea?).

It is very hard for me to crack everyones wifi struggles as there so many vendors and flavors that there is nog golden bullet to all these issues. This app has over 13000 active installs at this present and many users read here. Perhaps add some context on flavor how the AP’s are set up. Vlans? Wifi client isolation?

I understand Jeroen. I know these are difficult cases.
I did not change anything in my network until the last week, trying to solve this issue. I have a feeling that since the last Homey Pro updates, the problems started.
Yes I do use i.e. Ikea zigbee. I have a wifi mesh setup from Netgear Orbi. One router and 2 satelites. One of the sockets is situated 1m from one of these Wifi Orbi Satelites. It shows 100% Wifi.

Ok, keep my Homewizard app running (do not restart). Upon failure of your sockets hit the diagnostic button in my app settings and the log then show what might be going on.

OK. As soon as it happens I do

Just make sure you dont restart, log is lost when you do.
