Well yes and no. I do understand EV is an important element in the energy balance. So something to temporarily “stop” the batttery makes sense and keep it out of the learning process.
But it is also complex on which conditions you want to use your solar or cheap prices.
The quick idea is a flow card with the X watts your EV charges and use that a way to hold back charging until the X watts drops below a threshold making the policy resume its process.
Or you stay away from policy at all and just use the quick action cards to put battery to standby and EV is done back to zero or charge only. Allowing the battery to charge and fit in the night.
It is complex as Homewizard Battery slight act differently than other brands as it is purely focused on self sustaining/ usage and not export or play in balance market.
The initial baseload via P1 (without battery policy) already detects EV or heatpump so that already avoided.
I will add EV flow card to suspend the policy for starters and take it from there.
I notice the same issue again that I mentioned in January, which you could fix then but which seems to be back.

I don’t have a homewizard plugin battery, only the P1 meter, so it might be related to this.

Yeah your P1 has a firmware now that always have the battery group section in it.
Added a gate/check to be sure the battery_count always more than 0 else skip.
It will be in test version v3.15.66 when I release it.

first thank you for the incredible work you are doing.
I noticed something strange. I have 4 batteries and I noticed that during nights when batterys are charged at 70% they don’t discharge. When I looked into this I noticed that the “Battery today” image it wil discharge in 3 hours.
Looks its delaying it’s charge for the higher prices later this evening. Combined with your limited charge this afternoon to max your batteries.
Graph is expecting 9.7 kWh solar while your house usage is 14.7kWh so it would never discharge fully. What does the planning tiles show?
So planning card and graph are not aligned, I got ya. Not an easy job.
I will add it in my todo list for improvement. Some users have their batteries locked so it only discharges at 800w vs the x times 800w per unit. I can only test with 1 battery so very hard for me have everyone happy here.
I did all that. All is set correctly (I think). No success.
I tried adding the PIB. When installing the PIB, I got the error message on both my phone and in the webUi. Because of this error, I removed the P1 (which was installed and worked fine until then). Now installing the P1 also gives the error.
What changed in your wifi accesspoints?
How is your homey connected, can you find your devices via mDNS?
Whqt flavor/brand wifi do you have? No guest wifi/vlans?
There are so many settings and parameters that could impact this.

My homewizard devices are no langer connected.
When i want to restart the app i do get the message that the app is not installed !? But of course it is.
