[APP][Pro] Homewizard 🧙‍♂️

No issues here, please check first post in this topic for guidance.

I just noticed that the P1 energy meter is showing up in the Energy tab in Homey. I don’t think this is how it’s supposed to be.

Probably settings is off for tracking all your house energy

Since yesterday I lost connection to 3 out of 4 devices I tried to reinstall the app but can’t find 3 devices on homewziard they are all online. Not sure how to solve this

Check debug tab in app settings for causes.

As you can see in HomeWizard all is recognised and online:

Got these logs since reinstalling the app

So you are hitting wifi and mDNS problems.
Check first post in this topic for tips and suggestions.

Ok checked the comments I can confirm I’m on thermostats recent firmware the local api is on on all devices. They are all connected to the same WiFi as homey.

Still no luck tried to put of local api and put local API back on. Then restart homey homewizard app but no luck. I tried to search to settings to fix the IP address but can’t find the options. I’m working with a home deco mesh system.

For me the weird thing is it was all working. Out of nothing it didn’t work anymore except for 1 device a energy socket. Settings are all the same for that energy socket and the rest.

When I do the p1 meter option to add it can’t find the device when I try to do so the p1 meter option apiv2 option then I get following error

EHOSTUNREACH means Homey cant reach your P1 via wifi.
Sounds if you have AP client isolation turned on or using Guest wifi where AP clients are not allowed to talk to each other.

Unchecked this device isolation issue in all of them and they really are allying the same network so no guest network.

And except for 1 they all have full WiFi connection

Sorry this is a Deco problem which I can’t help with. Homey is connected to your wifi and is not able to talk to other devices that are connected to the same network.
Maybe mesh issue? Multicast settings, as in broadcast is getting blocked?
See if you can find related problems with your Deco and bonjour protocol as that is exactly what is going on here.

Ok I will try to reach out there also once.

Question what is the difference between p1 meter option and p1 meter apiv2 option? And what do I use best? Can’t remember which one I had before when it still all worked

You have P1 (apiv1) and (apiv2). The first one is the default one, uses polling method.
The (apiv2) is introduced recently as a new way to communicate with plugin battery. It is https based and also provides websocket method which makes it possible to do realtime measurements (1s updates).

Ok since I don’t have battery if homewizard and it is recently introduced I suppose before I was on the other one. FYI by changing security to wpa instead of wpa 2 on deco I was able to find the sockets yet still no success for the p1

Changing to wpa is more a side effect than a fix. It made your sockets reconnect your wifi.
But again, I am not a Deco expert here and not familiar with the possible settings available to make it work for you. Clearly Homey is unable to reach them so there something blocking communication.

Morning,

I’m getting this notification in Homey every single morning:

Also, the logs in the app settings are all showing “invalid”:

On top of that, I noticed that my HomeWizard app is empty, even though it’s connected and all my data is still showing up correctly in Homey.

Not sure whether you really want to keep this setting, as WPA is generally considered not secure enough nowadays, due to its relatively weak encryption by today’s standards. Of course you could argue who wants to actually break into a home network. Better to find the real cause of your communication issue though.

I know but not really sure how to find the real cause by know it was also able to detect the p1 meter so I would expect it has to do with this security setting but how can i make sure I can connect with the wpa2?

Like @Jeroen_Tebbens indicated: it must be related to other settings in your router or something else. WPA/2/3 is the security protocol used for connecting devices to your router. Apparently WPA2 worked, as you could see the device in the router’s app as connected. So something else is causing issues in the network traffic between the device and your Homey.

What happens if you:

  • Re-enable WPA2 again, and
  • Restart your router/WiFi access point(s), and
  • Restart your Homey?

Yes baseload / sluipverbruik is an experimental feature I added recently to potentially track what is used (base) during the night. It has some expections to avoid “noise” during that period but frankly a difficult process as I dont know exactly how to handle with “warmtepomp” or airco’s or EV cars being charged. If something affects this usage during the night it is flagged as fluctuation and the night sample is dropped, hence the notification. But..if this has no value to you, you can disable this notification in your P1 advanced settings and you will not be bothered anymore with this.

Regarding the Homewizard Energy app, this has nothing to do with me. I am doing this app as hobby and do not work for Homewizard as has been indicated several times in this topic.

If you face issues with the Homewizard Energy app, reach out to their support instead as I have nothing to do with this.
