Indeed, agree with you. An error 404 (page not found) that a single user apparently has (annoying) seems to have something to do with cookies or settings. Not with rate limited
Correct but this could have many different sources. From an unforseen change from Hue or the OAuth integration from this Homey app fe because the re-adding of the Hue bridge…
to local issues with PiHoles or misconfigured local protections (VPNs, DNS) or browser integrations.
My plan would be:
Contact Athom support and send Diag.
Remove Hue app from Homey
Restarting Homey using DeveloperTools
Unauthorize Homey in Hue portal?
Restarting Hue bridge?
Verify Hue login from remote network?
Try another browser and/or another network and/or incognito in a browser.
If it still doesn’t work Contact Support again and send new diag. Try to get in contact with Hue support,
Just a couple of things that come up while I have no Hue.
The Philips Hue app (v6.3.4) crashes constantly since about a week. Pretty much every flow related to Philips Hue is now broken. I’ve tried everything I’ve been able to come up with to fix it, but it happens even if there are no active flows.
@Athomed Please note you need to specify Homey bridge or Hue bridge to avoid confusion.
The delays you refer to are only when a motion sensor detects motion and then turns on a light.
In the official Philips Hue app (on the HP2019 and HP2023, I have no Homey bridge. I have three Hue bridges), there is a polling mechanism that could lead to a delay in detecting the motion.
This is resolved on the HP2023 with a Matter connection. It makes reaction to motion blazingly fast.
Matter and Matter for Philips Hue are officially supported, so you are really better off using it instead of the official (but legacy) app. If you do not have motion sensors or your set up is not delay sensitive, then there is no immediate need to move to Matter.
Personally, since my move to Matter (the three Hue bridges are now registered through Matter) a year ago, it has been stable and working great.
And I could remove the legacy Hue app: less apps is better
So, if I understand correctly, I need to remove and reinstall the app to fix this issue? My entire house relies on this app, with over 50 devices connected. For now, I’ve set up a flow to restart the app every hour just to keep it running… This is insane!
Hi all
I am experiencing no connection between my homey pro 2023 and Hue bridge since last update to Hue v6. 3.5. I have tried rebooting my internet, my hue bridge, did a factory reset and made a restore of a backup. I can get the backup up and running, but as soon as it reboots after restoring it downloads the latest version of the hue app. Can I somehow avoid this to test if the previous version works? I have made a ticket with athom regarding the app, but up to two weeks is a long time to wait, when you have no lights Any good ideas?
I’ve been experiencing the exact same problem. However, the Hue App on my phone keeps acting weird as well. Some light just don’t respond no matter if I use Homey of the stand alone Hue App.
Hi
I cant find any good solution for the Hue dimmer switch.
For example: When for some reason 3 lights are on and 2 are off and i use the power on/off button the 2 lights will come on and 3 lights will turn off.
Does anyone have an advanced flow example?
Hi all,
I’ve installed my Homey Bridge today, and everything is working fine except for the Philips Hue integration. Every time, I get the error: “Client authentication failed (e.g., unknown client, no client authentication included, or unsupported authentication method).”
I also removed Homey from the Hue environment for a clean installation, but the issue persists.
