[APP] Aqara & Xiaomi Smart Home - Simplify your life with a smarter home

I suggest you reach out to Athom with your request, via https://homey.app/support/. The sustained value-functionality is not app specific, but a Homey wide functionality. Currently limited to numeric capabilities only.

There is an alternative though: the Device Capabilities app provides a flowcard to check for sustained values. It also works with yes/no and text values, in addition to numeric ones.

Also check this post (in Dutch) for screenshot and more info:

Great that will do the job in many cases, simplifying my flows!!

Don’t know if someone mentioned before Aqara devices having problems with checking for battery levels or at least recording it. Was checking on capabilities with time stamps and saw that a few Aqara temperature sensors of mine have according the time stamps checked battery around 100 days ago. My Aqara door sensors too. Other Aqara temp sensors lag only a few days. Any ideas what is the reason behind?

Empty batteries?

Here all 4 Aqara contact sensors always show 100%, so when the sensor quits after many months of service, my conclusion would be: the battery is probably dead.
Other types of Aqara sensors show decreasing battery levels, but it’s not very accurate (at all).

Well, the devices are reacting and talking with homey. Their other timestamps are updated as expected.

This didn’t worked.

removed the devices. Replaced all the batteries, reconnected all the devices, but after a few min they all stopped working. What do you think I do wrong? It’s super annoying, and almost thinking to replace the sensors by the one from ikea.

My experience these sensors don’t mix with Ikea zigbee lights. As soon as the sensor starts to use the Ikea light router, it stops sending updates, and worse, it does not search for other (better matching) zigbee routers anylonger.

Athom mentioned they’re trying to get both Aqara and Ikea to look into this quirk, but this is already 5 months ago:
https://community.homey.app/t/ikea-door-sensor-automatically-controls-nearest-device/129572/7

What I’d do: replace either these Ikea lights, or the Aqara sensors;
or throw in a zigbee2mqtt controller (you won’t regret it).
I use it with 16 Aqara pir/contact/temperature/flood sensors and several Ikea lights, among other stuff like Tuya, Sonoff, Lidl/Silvercrest, iCasa, no problems whatsoever.

having problems in adding the Aqara Single switch module (with Neutral). Tried to search for solutions in the blog but didn’t see any. Any help will be highly appreciated. Pictures of error attached

There is very little information in your post on your setup and what steps you performed. Maybe you can provide some more insight in what you have already tried.

Some thoughts:

  • Is the switch close enough to another mains powered ZigBee device, so that it can establish a connection with your Homey?

  • During pairing it might help to keep the device active by pressing the pairing button every few seconds.

Hi,

Sorry about the little information. Yes I followed the steps of adding the device. Pressed the paiing button for 5 seconds. The pairing started and ended in an error as shown in the screenshot attached in the earlier post. The homeypro is also kept less than 1 m away from the aqara single switch module T1 (with Neutral). Still no success. I have 3 of these and all show similar behaviour.Any help will be deeply appreciated

Have you installed the latest version of the Aqara app on Homey?

Maybe also restart your Homey.

Do you have other ZigBee devices connected to your Homey?

I was successful in adding. Not sure what helped but after multiple tries and restarting homey and toggling off-on the power to the aqara switches, it worked. Thanks for the prompt support

Hi everyone, I’d like to share a quick update following our great conversation with the Aqara team at IFA.

In the past, supporting new Aqara devices right at launch has been a challenge, mainly because we didn’t always receive samples in time and Aqara devices often rely on custom Zigbee clusters. This meant we had to reverse-engineer them before adding support.

Going forward, we’ve agreed with Aqara that both @TedTolboom and Athom will receive upcoming products in advance, along with the proper documentation. This way, we can ensure new devices are supported out of the box as soon as they hit the market. Please note there’s still a backlog of older devices we’ll address first, but once that’s done, new releases will follow much faster.

On top of that, we’ll also be working together with Aqara to bring camera support to Homey in the future.

Both Aqara and Athom are committed to making things easier for our shared users, and we’re excited to take these next steps to make the smart home better together!

Please put the new FP300 sensor ahead of the backlog queue, because it is a very promising and really unique sensor!!! It deserves to be given priority compared to other items that have many alternative options
