Smpl mini display: battery powered e-ink display made for Homey

Is this version number correct? I just updated to rc 122 but there is no additional update (yet).

rc 122 is the latest stable version. rc 133 is experimental (beta) and requires that you have activated this.
But you can also wait until rc 133 moves from beta to stable. I don’t know when this will be.

nice it works again.

it looks like it does not do any refresh. set my refresh on 5min and still have the original value when started.

Installed rc 133 and the 2.2.2 test version of the smpl app. Pairing went fine, but like Edwin says, it does not update the values.

2 smpl displays here + Homey 2023. First one added after a couple of pairing attempts.
Data from sensors updating, but a calculated logic variable is not updated. I see it is outdated in the app config as well(only fetched when re-adding to the display layout), so seems more like an app side issue.

Second smpl display won’t connect, tried all steps in Device manual - The smpl mini display more than 10 times, close to Homey itself, or 2 other router devices.

Logic variable that is not updating is a known issue that should be fixed in v2.2.2 are you sure you are running this version?

Try:
a) removing the device (make sure it is gone in developer tools/zigbee), b) installing new batteries, before c) factory reset display (only smpl fw v1.19) by holding the back-button while inserting batteries, e) install display again.

Same problem here with 2.2.2 … The display layout in webinterface shows the same old values as the smpl screen and isnt updated with new values. A restart of the app brings new values but after then no updates.

Can you try to remove the sensor template (logic variable) and add it again?

I cannot reproduce your issue on my displays.

Homey 16/19/23? What firmware on both Homey as smpl app?

Its a new homey 23 with firmware 10.0.0-rc.133 and version 2.2.2 of the app…

Did a diag if that helps?

Also tried to do a completly new template but the values remains the same…

already did those and have smpl firmware version V1.14. , only did not do new template. but it did it once.
also send a diagnostic report yesterday

1.14 is pre-production. You need to update the smpl fw to 1.19.
Reach out to support, so I can send you guide and fw file.

really, you send this as production device to me , many month ago. So please make it backward compatible or put it all on a public place with release notes when homey 2023 requires this.

Is there any reason it’s not public, eg. some dependency to the device itself?

Hi Edwin. I can see from your ordernumer 1892 that you have firmware version 1.18 which is a final release (and not pre-production) and is indeed compatible with HP2023.
The fact that it says 1.14 in device capabilities in Homey is an error. You can check by clicking the back-button 3 times to show the service-screen. It will show the actual firmware version on the device. I am quite positive it will show 1.18.
You can update to 1.19. The only real change is a ‘factory reset’ function (hold the back-button while you insert batteries), which is not directly available in 1.18.
Sorry for the confusion. We will investigate why it says 1.14 in device capabilities.
