

Hi everyone,
iPixel LED lets Homey control Bluetooth LED matrix displays that use the iPixel Color protocol. Version 4 is a complete rebuild of the app and is currently available for testing.
### What can it do?
- Create named display apps with text, an image, or an icon plus text.
- Keep as many apps as you want in Homey. The old limit of eight user slots is gone; Homey schedules the content in software.
- Create, update, and remove apps from Flows.
- Show normal, important, or sticky notifications. Sticky notifications remain visible until a Flow dismisses them.
- Choose text color, animation, speed, and the smoother one-pixel animation style.
- Show a configurable clock in the carousel, while idle, or as the only content.
- Set the clock color, font, scrolling speed, and horizontal or vertical layout on square displays.
- Upload your own PNG icons and TTF/OTF fonts from the app settings.
- Search, preview, and import icons from the LaMetric icon library.
- Add a virtual 64×16 or 32×32 LED screen and view it through a Homey dashboard widget. A virtual screen can run independently or mirror a physical display.
All rendering and scheduling run locally on Homey. Internet access is only needed when you choose to browse the LaMetric icon library.
### Supported displays
The app has been tested extensively with 64×16 and 32×32 displays. Other sizes using the same iPixel Color Bluetooth protocol may also work, but should still be considered experimental.

### Before pairing
Make sure the display is switched on and nearby. Completely close the iPixel Color phone app before pairing or sending content: the display generally accepts only one active Bluetooth connection. Bluetooth range depends heavily on walls and interference; keeping Homey within roughly five metres is a sensible starting point.
### Getting started
1. [Install the Test version](iPixel LED | Homey).
2. Add the physical iPixel LED device in Homey, or add a Virtual LED Screen for a hardware-free test.
3. Use the create/update app Flow cards to add text, image, or icon-and-text content.
4. Open the app settings to upload icons or fonts, or to import a LaMetric icon.
5. Add the Virtual LED Screen widget to a dashboard if you want a live dot-matrix view.
Version 4 migrates legacy settings where possible, but it is a major architectural change. Please verify important Flows after upgrading.
### Testing and feedback
This is a Test release, so detailed reports are very welcome. Please include:
- display resolution and, if possible, a product link or photo;
- Homey model and Homey firmware version;
- the exact Flow card and settings used;
- what you expected and what actually appeared;
- an app diagnostic report after a connection problem.
In particular, I would love reports from displays other than the tested 64×16 and 32×32 models.
Thanks to everyone in this topic who tested the earlier versions and asked for square-display support, configurable clock colors and fonts, sticky-notification control, and better pairing. Those requests directly shaped this rebuild.
