Problem adding Homey Bridge to Homey - Not Found (MongoDB): Zone with ID

Homey Bridge (new) can’t find the Wifi network, anybody any experience with it?
I cannot do a factory reset as described in the instructions. My idea is that the Wifi antenna is defect

Can you find it with the app useing Bluetooth?

This also applies to the bridge:

Thanks, going to try, not very user-friendly.

Are you useing the Homey Bridge with Homey (Service) alone or trying to use it as a Satelite for your Homey Pro (Early 2023)

Yes I want to use it for swichting my airco on and off in combination with Homey Pro early 2023.
But with the problems I face I‘m thinking to return my Homey Bridge.

I expected plug and play.
After Friday I haven’t heard anymore from Homey support.

It’s for now just a way to eliminate known issues, to be able to determine if the bridges’ wifi is broken or not.

Troubleshooting has nothing to do with user friendlyness stuff.
DOA (if it’s broken that is) just happens sometimes.

Does your Homey Mobile app find the bridge then you try to add it?

It looks like the Bridge is not functioning as it should, Athom is sending a new one. Good service!

Well interesting, the new one received, same error during installation. Then I thought I had to find the MAC adres to give it a fixed IP address (maybe it was conflicting with another device). So I connected the Bridge to my laptop with a cable.
Then I tried to install it for the last time…and now it worked, the bridge is finally installed.
What the issue was, I don’t know but this was the work around. Install it connected with a cable to the laptop.

Interesting indeed, Rutger.

LAN cable? Or USB cable?
I didn’t know the bridge has an ethernet connector?
Curious what it is.

Afaik there is nothing that a Homey Bridge does using the Laptop USB port but getting 5 Volt Power.
So probably using the Homey Bridge with the USB power adapter on the location of your Laptop would have worked exactly the same way unless you have had two times a defective USB adapter.

No just the USB from the power into the laptop

Maybe you’re right but it certainly made a difference. I’m not that technical to find out what made it work but I’m happy that all works like it want it to.

Yet another broken power supply situation?

And is your Bridge now working on the original USB Power adapter?

Yes it is

Don’t think so.
Error message was:

Kon geen verbinding maken met Bridge
Er ging iets fout tijdens het toevoegen van
Bridge aan je huis (Not Found (MongoDB): Zone with ID 3a593e61-2f59-43fa-8ad3-eadc777da1f4)
Opnieuw proberen

Time to contact Athom, looks like a Homey Cloud internal error :grimacing:

Looks to me this also hasn’t anything to do with Wifi …
