Meross App Support

Can i hope for the integration in this Meross app of those 2 devices :

  • smoke detector GSS559A
  • roller shutter timer MRS100
    That would be my greatest christmas gift :smiley:

Unfortunately, I can’t provide a specific timeline for this. For some brands, we can initiate development quickly due to established contact and accessible APIs. However, in other cases, we might need to secure API access first, or even wait for the API to be developed before integration can begin. Timelines can range from a few weeks to over a year, depending on the circumstances.

Regarding Meross, several factors are at play. We were initially collaborating with Community Developer Bence, but after coordinating with Meross and sending him development hardware, he unexpectedly stopped responding.

We’re now exploring the possibility of developing an official app with another agency. However, the API documentation we received so far is incomplete. I plan to meet with the Meross team at CES in January to discuss the next steps and see what can be arranged.

I did the same based on reading the Best Buy Guide looking for an outdoor plug which would be supported by Homey. I was disappointed when I couldn´t get it to work. I actually bought two and they work from HomeKit, but that´s not my intention. I guess I will have to wait for the official app to arrive,

Please take the necessary actions within 72 hours of receiving this email. Failure to do so may result in the termination of cloud services for your devices to prevent further potential damage.

I added my MSG200 last night, tested open and close this morning (Worked fine) made a flow that opens my garage door at 6:35 (Worked fine) Im also able to see the status if its open or closed, so it works for me (Atleast for now)

Correct, app seems to be working. I also managed to add my outdoor plugs.

the mrs100 would be a gamechanger. I would totally celebrate it.

I have noticed that after a software upgrade on the Homey my garage door (MSG200) is reporting it is opening. Anyone else experiencing the same issue? Tried to report it to the creator of the app but the mail address is no longer existing :frowning:

Guys, I have some strange problem with MTS150. When I buy first one and sucesfully connect it to HP2023 everythying worked corect. But when I connect another one the both started to be controled dual. I mean when I change temp for one, temp have similary change on other one. How can I solve this trouble?

Hi Olegs, I had the same problem, but in my case, it turned out to be just a graphical bug in Homey. When I check the temperature in the Meross app, it displays correctly. Additionally, all my MTS150 devices share the same IP address (the Meross hub IP). From my understanding, Homey controls the Meross hub and sends requests to the Meross cloud. I’m not 100% sure, as this is theoretical, but despite the incorrect temperature display in Homey, everything seems to be working fine.

It’s been a while, but I have a positive update to share! Meross recently underwent a change in there management, and our new point of contact is very enthusiastic about making their products “Works with Homey” compatible.

The current plan is to integrate their devices via their cloud APIs for Homey Cloud users. We’re currently waiting for documentation on their authentication methods. For Homey Pro users, we aim to implement their new LAN APIs. Right now, this is only available for their garage door opener, but more devices should follow soon.

I’ll keep you posted here and on the Request a Brand platform as soon as I have more updates. To help keep things tidy and manageable on my side, please avoid posting “Any updates?” comments. Pinky promise to share news as soon as it’s available :wink:

I need a smart (and cheap) garage opener that works with Homey. Does the MSG200 work fine with the community app now without any hassle? Or do you recommend to buy any other device?

Confusing to read this forum post when the device is listed here in the “best buy guide” :open_mouth:

Meross set the goal on Q2 to finish all the APIs for the integration, so that should be soon™

im still currently using the community app for meross. either that i need to reinstall the app/use the test version or meross has changed something recently because now i cant login to the meross app on my iphone. states the following: ‘number of request exceeding the limit. please contact us to feedback’.

i can still control my meross devices through homey fine but i cant on the meross app as it looks like they wont allow me to login anymore. just about to log a support ticket with meross.

were you able to sort out your issue with this? i assume this is probably what im experiencing now but i didnt receive an email like yours yet.

i managed to login now to the meross app. not sure if meross support had done anything. i assume maybe restarting the app every couple of hours or so was causing this error as i had removed this from my automation/flows. ill just have to be a bit smarter with my flows which might be hard as i randomly get devices not updating until the meross app is restarted. i dont think it has to do with my wifi/connection as checking the meross app shows live data fine. should be fine when using the on, off, open or close function but will be annoying if im trying to monitor energy usage.

update:

i did receive a response from Meross regarding my account access.

i assume either they dont know that Athom/Homey is working with Meross, it hasn’t been shared or something else. i did hide the persons name at the bottom of that screenshot as i wasnt sure i should even show that.
