The MA151H Smart Smoke Detector, MTS150HMA Smart Radiator Thermostat, and MS130H Smart Temperature and Humidity Sensor can all connect to Homey through the MSH450 Smart Hub using Matter Bridge functionality.
Iāve also ordered samples of the garage openers, so Iāll start integrating them as soon as they arrive.
Still debating whether I should also implement the non-OAuth cloud API for now, since only the garage door openers are supported at the moment. Iāll need to check how much work that would take. For Homey Pro, Iād prefer to use the devicesā local MQTT implementation instead.
I have a Meross MS600 (Smart Presence Sensor) and I wasnāt able to connect it directly to Homey via Matter. I had to do it through iOS instead. I donāt know what this option implies or why the Homey connection doesnāt work.
Looking to buy garage door opener, as I have 3 garage doors, i would prefer Meross MSG200, also listed in Homey best buy guides, but quick look at Homey forums it is not clear if currently works with Homey Pro or not. So, whats the situation?
Curently I have set garage door with Shelly 1 Gen4, it works, but cant set device indicator to show Shelly 1 input state, thats no go for me - to see status of the doors at any time in an Homey app is a must! Any solution for that?
Alternative solution while we wait for the app to launch
Iāve been using a Meross MSG100 door opener for years and, on top of that, an Eve Door/Window Sensor on the same door. In my setup both devices are only available through HomeKit, but functionality will be identical in Homey.
Since you already have a Shelly unit controlling the door, my recommendation is simple: add contact sensors to your system. The sensor data can feed into Homey as a reliable source of truth, and you can replace the door controller once the new Meross app is ready.
Added bonus: Iāve seen the MSG100 report āClosedā even when the door was still slightly ajar. The Eve sensor will correctly show āOpenā in those cases.
I use the MSG100 garage door opener in both Homey and HomeKit for almost a year now, without any problems.
For Homey I āve created a favorite flow so I can open & close the garage door from my Apple Watch.
Iāve linked the MSG100 to HomeKit so I have a button to open / close on my Apple Carplay screen. And that is really cool: when Iām about 100m from home, a open / close button automatically appears om my Carplay screen.
Second option is to let Siri open the garage door.
I was happy to see the official Meross app added, but my joy was short-livedā¦ it only supports Matter devices. I think most people who have been complaining about the lack of support for a long time donāt actually own the Matter version of the devices. And nothing will be done about it. Itās a mix of joy and disappointment, because I donāt think this was the intended outcome.
As mentioned in the first thread, thatās currently being worked on. The main limiting factor right now is the range of devices Meross supports through their API.
Iām also looking into adding LAN connectivity, though that will only work on Homey Pro, not on Homey Cloud.
