Matter Meross mss315 plug energy data not present in Homey

Hello,
I have installed a few mss315 Meross matter smart plugs.
While the energy data is present in the Meross app, there is nothing in Homey’s.
Is there a fix or a way to get those energy metering data ?

The current beta firmware for Homey should support power measurements over Matter, but only if the devices use the standard Matter clusters for that (which a lot of devices don’t, in which case it won’t be possible to get these readings in Homey).

… And since one can’t know beforehand if the device uses standard Matter, we are foobar :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Other home automation platforms aren’t so strict and just implement “quirks” to use those non-standard clusters :man_shrugging:t3:

what a shit show! I fell for it too! thought nice with energy measurement included, then you get this.

@Doekse is there something you can ask Meross? I saw that they have a official app already, but this matter device isn’t in there own app

The official app isn’t available yet. We’ve received the API documentation, but it’s incomplete.

I’ll be meeting with them at CES in two weeks to discuss both the API issues and their Matter implementation. Currently, their plugs run a local HTTP server on the device for power metering, without using Matter for these functions. I’ll keep you all updated.

I submitted the pb to support and was assured that matter 1.3 would solve the issue :grinning:

Oke, Thank you for the answer and help in advance! hopefully they will implement the power metering within matter also.

okay, yeah I wait the hole time to the matter 1.3 update for my locks but don’t know when homey updates to 1.3
