IMPORTANT. older versions of the app make use of a legacy style webhook, this hook will become inactive April 4th. Please upgrade to newest version of the app!!! Anchor point for Google Nest SDM app instructions, requests and issues. BE AWARE THAT BATTERY POWERED DEVICES (CAM/DOORBELL) DO NOT SUPPORT GenerateImage and as such currently it will not show images of events. Be aware that Google charges a one time 5$ fee to be able to use the Nest Device Access Platform and API (not the same as a donate to the developer of this app). To be sure: this only works for Google accounts, NOT for old NEST accounts. In the posts below there are the steps that the App will guide you through setting up the environment in Google. Install the app and start configure app Create a Google cloud project Create the credentials for your cloud project Enable API´s for your cloud project Create the Device Access project. It now supports NEST Protect using the old API interface with Google accounts. If you only have Nest Protect and no other Nest devices, you only need to setup the Legacy Nest tab in the app. Using the same API it supports reporting on known faces and on-demand snapshots. Be aware that this ONLY applies to devices that are visible in the old NEST app, not the newer devices that are only added to Google Home.

You may want to try something like this: [image]

With this flow u can not be sure of the connection with Google Nest is ok en u are still logged in.

3 different things. Flow for cloud connection status is available Flow for device status is available, online or offline Flow for user loggwd in status is not available…

[image] Wout-1976: Is there a kind of test flow for checking the connection with the Nest account? To be sure it is still logged in and works? You are right. What about this (somewhat dirty) workaround? [image]

Hier nog een noob die nietweet waar de GPC PROJECT ID gepaste moet worden !?

Hi All, since a few weeks, my Nest Thermostat doen’t respond to the ‘Set Mode To ECO’ card anymore. Al other functions are working correctly, also setting the mode to Off or automatic works well. Only the ECO mode doesn’t change. And that was the function I used a lot to manage heating in my house. Anyone with the same problem or maybw a solution? (I already read about similar problems on HA) greetings, Bram

Same issue, reported issue on Stackoverflow. It does not even give an error (looks like a succesful call to the app) :expressionless:

Recently Google announced the definitive end of Works with Nest as of 29 September 2023. Using the Google Nest SDM has been a good way to get the Nest devices into Homey. The Nest protect smoke detectors are not officially supported, but can currently be added using the Nest Legacy tab within the SDM app. But does anyone know if this “workaround” via the Nest Lagacy tab will remain functional after 29 September?

Is there a way i can download this app? since the Community store is not working anymore. i am running on an old version and it stopped working since yesterday. hopefully an upgrade wil work  Hope someone can help:)
