Device status desync (Philips Hue & Sonoff) in Homey app after recent updates?

For about a week now, I’ve been experiencing a very strange and frustrating issue with device status updates in the Homey app. Specifically, this is affecting my Philips Hue lights and several Sonoff devices.

The issue: Device states are completely out of sync and don’t update in real-time. For example:

  • If I turn on a Philips Hue light directly from the official Hue app, the physical light turns on, but its icon in the Homey app doesn’t change state (it remains grayed out/off).

  • I am seeing the exact same behavior with my Sonoff devices—the active On/Off state in Homey remains completely frozen and doesn’t reflect the actual state of the hardware.

Essentially, there is a total disconnect between the real-world state of the devices and what Homey displays on the dashboard.

Since this started happening simultaneously across two entirely different brands (Hue and Sonoff) about a week ago, it makes me wonder: has there been a recent Homey app or Homey Pro firmware update that broke state reporting or polling for these integrations?

Is anyone else experiencing this sudden desync issue, or has anyone found a temporary workaround?

Thanks in advance for any insights!

I won’t go into any further detail about your problem, but it would be important to know how you’ve integrated your devices.

Based on that statement, I’m assuming you’re using a Philips Hue Bridge, right?
If that’s the case, then your home LAN/Wi-Fi network could also be the cause of the problem.

For SONOFF devices, it is essential that you also mention how they are connected to your Homey.
SONOFF Zigbee devices can be connected directly to your Homey. However, it is also possible to pair SONOFF Zigbee and Wi-Fi devices via a SONOFF Bridge using the Homey eWeLink app.
If the SONOFF devices are also connected to your Homey via a bridge, then your home network could also be the cause of the problems.

You can check for yourself in the Homey App Store to see if any of the apps have been updated in the last few days → Apps for Homey Pro | Homey

The latest official firmware for these models was released on June 24, about 3 weeks ago → [Homey Pro 2023/2026/mini] Informationen und Diskussionen zu neuen Firmware-Updates - #727 by Undertaker

Like an update or restart of your router causing it to possibly assign a different IP-address to those hubs, if no reserved/static addresses were assigned before.

That shouldn’t be an issue though. Hue uses discovery.meethue.com to get the IP address of your Hue Bridge. Sonoff WiFi devices and Zigbee via the ZBBridge use the eWeLink server connection, which doesn’t involve your local network at all.

The Philips Hue lights are connected via a bridge to Homey and the Sonoff lights are connected directly via Zigbee to Homey Pro - only one Philips light is correctly recognized on Homey as being on or off… the others are turned on and start with the flows but are recognized as active only on the Philips hub

he others only appear on the timeline.

You should report it to Support | Homey

Also note that one of your bulbs (Luce Credenza Cucina) is offline within the Hue mobile app as well (from your screenshot). Obviously Homey can’t know the state of that light. It is not recommended to turn off smart bulbs physically, since they’re made to be plugged in/powered 24/7.

You don’t provide much information.
What have you done so far to solve the problem?
Have you tried restarting both apps and your Homey?
Have you tried restarting the Hue Bridge and your router?
