Compatibility request: LinknLink eMotion Pro (mmWave presence sensor)

Hi everyone,

I would like to know if the LinknLink eMotion Pro (a mmWave presence and motion sensor) can be integrated with Homey Pro.

This device connects via Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz) and officially supports Alexa, Google Home, and Home Assistant (through MQTT / Motion2MQTT). However, I couldn’t find any information regarding Homey compatibility or an existing app for it.

My questions are:

  • Is the LinknLink eMotion Pro currently supported by Homey (officially or via a community app)?

  • Has anyone tried to connect it to Homey Pro using MQTT or another integration method?

  • Would it be possible for developers to consider adding support for this device in a future update?

This sensor is quite interesting for smart presence detection, and it would be great if it could be natively integrated into Homey flows.

Thanks in advance for any insights or guidance!

In this video a review is done, for me it’s very interesting

Ah, then it’s supported and ‘quite’ easy, by using the Homey community apps
MQTT Broker, MQTT Client & MQTT Hub.

With MQTT Hub you can create a virtual device which takes and sends commands per MQTT topics.

Thx Peter

I’ll read it all right, but ideally there’d be an official app—the sensors are very good and it’s a cheap alternative to Aqara.

Thanks! Yeah, I get that, but in the mean time you can use it already :grimacing:
I was triggered by MQTT and this always works @ Homey.

App requests usually go to https://request-a-brand.homey.app

BTW This €16 device also seems a nice presence sensor, supported by the ‘official’ Sonoff app:
