Aqara Water Leak Sensor not working

Thats what I wrote back to Athom. That I would assume that the communication stack with Zigbee is in the hands of Athom, not Aqara.

I am currently thinking, because of the damage done, and Athoms response, to switch platforms

For such a critical application I would look for a professional standalone systems, which takes into account all kind of error situation, like empty battery, power lost, lost communication etc…
A totally different solution would be a pomp with an electronic sensor.

Just thinking out loud but can the developer of the App share the logs with Athom?

Why think out loud instead of asking the app developer about the problem in the official Aqara topic?

Btw, the Aqara topic would have been the right place to post the problem anyway.
Unfortunately I recognized this topic too late. There were already too many posts and it wasn’t clear, at least for me, if the connection of the sensors were broken or if just a flow for the notification was missing. Therefore I didn’t moved this thread to the Aqara topic.

@Kay_Kretschmer, my suggestion is to discuss the problem with the app developer in the Aqara topic.

Why shooting the messenger? I’m not the one has the problem with the sensor, nor the one who should open a support request or ask the developer. I made just a suggestion like you did. It’s up to you, or anyone else, to decide if you like the suggestion and see it as inspiration or not. That’s all.

I only quoted your question, because I think it makes much more sense to ask the responsible partners, Athom and the app developer of the Aqara app, than to waste time worrying about assumptions.

Oh well, I opened a Ticket with Athom, they replied to get them the Diagnostics from the App. And since it is the Aqara app, they closed the ticket and pointed me to the owner of the app.

The device log, this is the full time frame that is provided, shows regular updates of the weather sensor connected to your Homey, as well as the water leak sensor checking in every 50 minutes.

You mention in the comment that the water leak sensor did not trigger… at what time did you activate the water sensor? Did you do that in this time frame? Note that the time codes are based on Zulu time.

Can you trigger the water leak sensor once more and directly after that submit the app’s diagnostics code, mentioning your name and the time you triggered the water leakage sensor?

I read on another forum that Xiaomi/Aqara devices are not standard Zigbee protocol. Not sure exactly what that means or how that can be…thought entire premise on “protocols” was that they were standard LOL.

I have 3 of aqara water sensors…and their reliability (at least for me) is terrible and will be looking for other options.

What they mean (or simply don’t know) is that Aqara devices use custom/undocumented Zigbee clusters, which in itself isn’t a violation of the Zigbee protocol AFAIK.
