My Aqara Lock U200 stopped working our of the blue. It is still connected to Aqara Hub and reachable through the Aqara app. But Homey stopped communicating with it.
To mention is that it was already a huge pain including it for the first time and it took hours andy many attempts.
Now I removed it from homey and tried to add it again. It doesnt work through the homey app on iphone at all. After scanning the Matter code it takes minutes and fails then as it cannot find the lock.
Adding from homey itself I get the notification that the device is already included and abborts it.
To me it looks like there remained some lock information inside homey although it is not shown ind the UI.
Does anybody know how I can remove it when it is not shown? Is there any command I can send to homey or something else?
To all having the issue like mine. I have found the solution.
The problem was not that information remained in Homey after removing the lock and caused issues when re-connected.
The problem was that inside the Aqara system information from Homey remained. I found Homey (Actually named 143c) in the Aqara app in the lock settings under “connected eco systems”.
There was shown Aqara Hub itself, Apple Home and 143c what actually was Homey. I removed it and Homey was able to connect to it right away.
From what I know, you dont. I use the Aqara Hub M2 as it offers more functions as just lock and unlock.
The lock is also included in Apple Home. You can create a matter pairing code through Aqara Hub or Apple Home. You can also do it by pressing a button on the lock but as no indicator for pairing mode is there (sound or LED), it is easier to use a Hub. There is an LED but not designed to indicate pairing mode.
Thank you for the reply. Somehow i connected it to my homey pro but i only have unlock and lock feature. it must have worked through matter but the matter setup didnt finish but somehow it worked anyway…
Thats correct. Matter allows only these two basic options only. For everything else (finger print, code etc) you need the aqara app and maybe the Hub as well. Not sure if all works without the Hub. But it should.
Hi all! I’m a pretty new user, but am an IT professional and have had a lot of fun setting up some advanced flows already!
Now onto the problem. I have had an Aqara U200 lock without the Aqara hub since we built the house in July. The lock went into Apple Home beautifully and has worked there ever since. I bought a Homey Pro a couple weeks ago and have 99% of my devices working beautifully.
I connected to the lock with the Aqara app, put it into Matter mode, and the Homey Pro connected right up. It’s able to lock and unlock. I figured I’ll use Homey for automation and Apple Home for user and guest access. Everything worked great for a couple days. Now the lock isn’t working.
A very painful situation I went through.
Most likely deleting the lock in Homey won’t work. But you have to delete all connections to Homey. It works through Aqara app only.
You need to go the section „connected ecosystems“ in Aqara settings of the lock. There you will find HomeKit and an alpha numerical name. This is most likely your homey. Delete it and start the connection through homey again. From my experience it works better when you add it through homey itself and not through iOS. Except there are many concrete walls between homey and the lock.
You can generate the Matter code through Aqara or apple home kit.
They now need weeks to reply. Illness etc.
it’s annoying but for now there is no real solution. Remove and add the devices again.
I have few LEDVANCE matter outdoor plugs homey lost connection to. Everyday it lost connection to at least one of five. On some days even three plugs were not reachable anymore. Now it seems to work but Matter on homey isn’t fun at all.
Update: I bought the Aqara Hub M2. It doesn’t have Matter, therefore the U200 lock won’t even talk to it. I’m returning it and getting the Aqara Hub M3 to see if that helps.
Next, I removed the U200 from my Homey. I am not able to see in my Aqara app where I can “manage” the Matter connections. It implies it can do that once I have an Aqara Matter hub. So when I attempted to add the U200 back into Homey, it gets stuck on “Searching.” It doesn’t matter if I try using the Matter sticker on the U200 or the setup code from Apple Home. It’s just stuck on Searching.
I restarted my Homey Pro. Now I’m able to get it to detect the U200, but when I try pairing it I get an error that says, “Unable to connect. This device is already paired to this Homey Pro.”
I suspect this is because I wasn’t able to figure out how to remove it from the Aqara app.
