Thank you very much, I truly appreciate this, I already got them working fine. For me what worked was using my new tablet instead of my smartphone, apparently the mobile signal wads interfering with the binding process.

Does this also work without an ios device? I have a Samsung as personal device, so I would like to add it without needing to use an iPhone.

Great news to share! I had a productive chat with Aqara at CES last week, and it looks like we’ll be able to gain access to their API to enable native support for the FP2 in the Aqara App for Homey. I don’t want to celebrate too soon, but if everything moves forward as planned, it would be fantastic news!

The FP300 works via Matter over Thread, so should be supported out of the box

That is so refreshing to hear! Right now I have 5 of them and they can only detect mere presence in a particular room. At that, it works like a charm and flawlessly but I cannot set zones within a room yet, at least I dont know how to…

Unfortunately not. I’ve also heard them mention again that they might just wait for the Matter implementation before integrating with Homey. You could say I had my patience tested, and I’m negative.

So… I’m a little confused. Can I or can’t I add the Aqara FP2 directly to the HP23, or do I need HomeKit? I’m not an Apple user, so I don’t have any experience with HomeKit. If I need the HomeKit app, do I also need any Apple hardware (like a HomeKit bridge)? I’m a bit lost at the moment. I haven’t bought the Aqara FP2 yet because I want to first know if it works well with Homey, or if I should wait for the version(s) with Matter support.
You don’t need Apple stuff. The Homekit controller app sort of turns Homey into a Homekit device, for just certain devices like FP2
