My Tuya devices are still working. I have only 2 of them, but also connected some devices using Tuya scenes which also still working fine. Isnā€™t that strange? :thinking:

The problem only occurs when you want to connect new devices.

This solution is only for pro model, not for bridge

I think there are two separate issues people are encountering:

  1. People trying to add their first device which requires authentication, which is no longer possible.
  2. Devices appearing to go offline (red triangle) when their status shown by the Homey icon continues to update. In my case devices came back online and went offline randomly for a while until there were three devices left that persisted to be offline. I removed them and re-added them without any problem (fortunately I control them with Tuya scenes so no flows were affected). That restored full function.

To be clear thereā€™s no problem adding devices after removing them and that might fix some residual problems people are seeing.

I suspect, but donā€™t know, that thereā€™s no problem adding new devices for people that have already authenticated with Tuya via the Homey app.

Last week, there were also some general issues with the Tuya Cloud, which likely caused devices to become unavailable. However, this is unrelated to the current problem. The current issue is primarily with authentication through the Tuya App, mainly affecting new users.

So I was able to add a new tuya ledstrip to Tuya a few minutes ago and it is also working perfectly with the homey app. So maybe only new users/logins are not workingā€¦

yeah for me its still a problem no found user from tuya so dunno how you managed?

Hi, I have a pro version of Homey. In Alexa I have my lights but in the Homey app not. How can I add these lights to have via Amazon Alexa on Homey? When I tried to add a new device select Amazon Alexa, and scroll down to lights ā†’ result was new lights not found.

Hi, can you now advise the users of the official app what to do? Is there a solution in sight? And what is the estimation of Athom how long it will take?

Also it would be fair to inform the users in the App store that the official Tuya app is currently not working.

Iā€™ve had to delete and re-add all of my Tuya devices today since the new 12.2 Homey update as none were responsive with flows, only manually via the app.
All cards on all flows now need to be redone.

Incredibly frustrating

This most likely has nothing to do with the Tuya app but more with the common issue of Homey just not working properly after updates (at least not until a PTP or several reboots).

I can turn some WIFI lights on using the app manually, but flows still do not work for these lights after re-doing the cards

Sometimes it is sufficient to just use the repair option on the device. That way you donā€™t have to redo all your flows
