[APP] Tuya - Connect any Tuya device with Homey (by Tuya Inc. / Athom)

Where do you see that?

Devices are not available and when I am trying to login again to repair it won’t accept mu username and stating ā€œno matching app user nameā€ reinstalling the app does not seem to have an effect.

I wish we would get some more information from the homey team.

I understand this is out of there control and for the homey pro users the workaround with Alexa works for now, but it’s not ideal.

I just want the old way of connecting back, just liked it worked before I bought my honey pro …

Hi everyone,

Before we head into the weekend, I wanted to share a quick update. We’re currently in discussions with Tuya and are exploring the best solution.

I’ll keep you posted, and we’re hoping to have more details to share next week :pray:

Wishing you all a great weekend!

Thank you!

If you live in Europe, don’t complain about such details. We Europeans rely on everybody and anyone. Without China and America, we would be living in the stone age.

And we would have no one to sell our chip machines to :slight_smile:

I cannot login either. Does the above mean that the app isn’t working anymore (for now)?
My HA integration is working just fine !? :face_with_peeking_eye:

Yes, for new users it is not working for now. Can be flaky for existing users as well.

Yes! (Or was this not meant as a question :wink: )

I am curious to find out how (or not) the Homey integration will handle the power capabilities.
In HA , I never completely figured out how to properly integrate the ā€œadd_eleā€ parameter to function correctly. Hence, accumulated power consumtions over time are never shown correctly in my HA.

  {
    "code": "add_ele",
    "custom_name": "add_electricity",
    "dp_id": 17,
    "time": 1731155389000,
    "type": "value",
    "value": 17
  },

:thinking:

My HA integration works kinda. A bit sluggish and needs a restart of my Homey Pro quite often to work…

As we work on a solution, we’ve temporarily hidden the Tuya App from the Homey App Store. We’ll also add a warning in the app’s description to keep users informed. Thank you for your patience!

Odd. Works fine here (Pro2019), with the occasional ā€œdevice unavailableā€ fun.
But it’s possible to solve that by auto-reloading the Tuya integration (@ HA) with a simple automation.
My Homey’s in general only restart after a firmware update.
Oh, I use the neat Home Assistant community app by RonnyW by the way.

Is there any news?
Wish i can use the app again …

Well… The athom tuya github repo stil got new code the last 2 days so i guess athom is still hoing forward with the current implementation.

Those changes were to add a ā€œthis app is brokenā€ notice in the README :stuck_out_tongue:

Do we have a time estimation when this will be resolved?

I just bought my Homey Pro with over 30 Tuya Dimmers that got installed in my new home. Everything worked fine for 2 weeks until this happened :confused:

Unfortunately I can’t give an estimation on when this issue will be fixed. Looks like it might take awhile.

In the meantime, everyone can also reach out to Tuya at service@tuya.com to tell them you want this fixed ASAP :wink:
