[APP] Shelly - Smart solutions for every home and office

You mean you want to disable the fysical switch on the device? It is not available in Homey but you can disable it using the WebGUI of the plug.

Thanks for yout reply.

Disableing is not the problem but I wanted to use it separately

Hello,

Is the Shelly Ecowitt WS90 sensor compatible with the Shelly Homey app?

Thank you in advance.

Is the irrigation control unit supported?

Pls. check the list of supported devices in the Homey App Store (link).
In short: No, it’s not supported at the moment.

If you’d like to request support for a device that isn’t currently supported, you can do so on GitHub (link), or via email, which is available in the Homey App Store.

So what’s the point of putting the wording all wifi devices if it’s not supported?

@Giovanni4312 You have to select this “device” you marked when it is supported in the list that is linked by @DirkG

Please ask the original developer of this app.

By the way, the current app developer @drenso, is in the process of developing a completely new app named Shelly Control.
In this app, which is currently in beta, all Wi-Fi devices are currently listed individually. I can’t say whether that will remain the case. But that would, of course, solve the problem.

Hi everyone,

I just installed a Shelly Dimmer Gen4 on a push button, and I can control it (on/off and dimming) either via the hardware button or the Shelly app. However, when I add it to my Homey Pro Mini, it’s recognized as an unknown Zigbee device, and I can only turn it on or off. When I try to dim it, I get this error. Connecting via Wi-Fi isn’t an option at that location, only my Zigbee network is strong enough there.

Anyone who knows how to get it working properly?

Thanks in advance!

You should report your issue here:

Thank you, i have submitted it over there as well.

It would be better to contact the app developer by email, as mentioned in the first post of the linked thread, since the app developer only checks the linked thread occasionally.

Hello

I'm using the Shelly app to control Shelly + 1 devices via the Alors flow (switch state temporary to Switch on for 0.5s).

Clearly, this 0.5-second argument is no longer allowed, and the minimum is now 1 second. Therefore, I can no longer modify any other element of my flow, which continues to function correctly nonetheless.

Is it possible to re-enable this argument with a 0.5-second delay, and where should I do this so I can modify my flow?

Thank you in advance.

Hi everyone,

I have multiple Shelly Gen4 1PM devices connected to Homey via Zigbee. Overall they work quite well, but sometimes they become unresponsive for a short time.

After the recent Homey update, the Developer Tools page now shows Zigbee traffic per device, and I noticed that these Shelly nodes are generating several hundred thousand Zigbee messages. This happens even when the devices are barely being used.

My guess is that they continuously report voltage changes, which floods the Zigbee network and causes instability.

The problem is that I cannot find any way to configure or reduce this reporting frequency:

  • not in Homey
  • not in the Shelly app (the devices are also connected to Wi-Fi only for firmware updates with the official Shelly mobile app)

Has anyone found a solution for this?
Is there any way to disable voltage reporting or reduce the reporting frequency/threshold?

Thanks a lot!

I believe that Zigbee support on Shelly devices has not matured yet. I have multiple gen4 PowerStrips and they are basically unusable in Zigbee mode (difficult to pair, slow responsiveness, overloading of the Zigbee network with messages, not all capabilities/sensors exposed,…).

The issue you are referring to (very high frequency of power measurement messages/updates) is a known issue, that seems to be addressed in the upcoming 2.0.0 firmware.

But also with a good working Zigbee connection, I currently would still prefer to use them in WiFi mode, as more sensors/capabilities are made available to Homey than in Zigbee mode. That might of course change in the future.

I tried to pair a shelly 1pm zigbee to homey pro, it says it has already been paired (I don’t know by whom..could it be from shelly cloud?) and I can’t add it to homey..what should I do?

Im having the Shelly v3.63.2 app installed.
And I have several devices mapped.
Two out of them are Shelly 2PM Gen4, using matter

The problem im facing with both of them, is that they from time to time get to a stage “Not avalible” in Homey. Them I must reboot them from the Shelly control center, and then use the Repair function in Homey.

Someone else have the same or similar problem?

Regards

I have replaced a Shelly Dimmer 2 with a Shelly Dimmer G3, but I can’t get the Actions to work

I’m thinking it has something to do maybe with the way the inputs are configured (default, with input 1 being a “onebutton dimmer”), and I especially want to make use of actions on the second input to switch scenes. This works on other Shelly dimmers, but I can’t get it to work on this one.

This flow doesn’t send any messages

Do the settings in the SHelly UI influence the behaviour of the Action events?

Trying to automate the garage door with a Shelly unit. For a while everything went well. Got the unit wired into the opener, and used an extension cord to get some power wires to it. Little red lite on the back is on, and the Shelly mobile app successfully connected to it and I can see all configuration options.

I just can’t get it to connect to Homey. Whenever I try to add the device through the Shelly App (Zigbee connection), it gets to the screen that tells me to press the reset button 5 times to go into Zibgee mode, then 3 times to initiate connection.

Connection attempt times out with no error or information.

I’ve tried researching online and found a couple common culprits. I’ve verified the Shelly connected on my network on the 2.4Ghx band (Homey is listed as Ethernet). I also find something about Multicast on the router - but not sure how to find that or if I really should turn it off. I also read a lot about initiating a firmware update but can’t find how to start that anywhere in settings.

One things I DO see (or don’t see) is Zigbee listed in the network connection types. Should I be seeing it?

So just looking for some help getting this thing connecting into my Homey as a device. It’s got power, and it’s on my network and in the Shelly app - seems like connecting to Homey should be the simple part?

Thanks!
