Merci….
Hi!
Shelly is acting up a bit the last weeks.
When I add them to the Shelly app everything works and I can control them from there.
Update to the latest firmware of course.
I set a fixed IP on it as well, just because it’s on the IoT network.
Adding it to Homey though..
First 4-5 hrs it can’t find it at all when adding it as a WiFi device.
Then it shows up but I get sort of a timeout message after like 2-3 seconds.
An error occured when trying to add the device. This usually happens when the device is not on the latest firmware, a battery powered device is not kept awake during pairing or there are networking issues. See the instructions in the support topic on the community forum. Error message: Error: the request failed because the Shelly device did not respond to the request. The networking issues are sometimes solved by rebooting both Homey and the Shelly device. The request was made to ``http://192.168.3.208/rpc/Shelly.GetDeviceInfo
I can browse to the adress and get this
"name": null,
"id": "shelly1pmg4-xxxx123456yyyyy",
"mac": "xxxx123456yyyyy",
"slot": 1,
"model": "S4SW-001P16EU",
"gen": 4,
"fw_id": "20260311-095853/1.7.5-g9979d16",
"ver": "1.7.5",
"app": "S1PMG4",
"auth_en": false,
"auth_domain": null,
"matter": true,
"provision": "complete"
}
In this case is a 1PM Gen 4 but I’ve had similar things with Outdoor plugs, Shelly1, Gen 1 and 4.
So it’s not a battery issue.
The homey and the Shelly is on different vlans but I’ve got some 30 other shellys and they work
albeit some of them has taken some time to show up.
I’ve of course rebooted stuff as well.
Still happens..
Then if I wait another 2-3 days it all of a sudden works.. Or has so far.
This one is now 4 days old and I get the same message.
My feeling is that the adding timeout is super short but then again, it’s not much data to transfer so.
Any experience of this or suggestions?
TIA!
Sounds like a firewall issue. That you can reach the url doesn’t mean Homey has the same result. Since you are using vlans, homey, shelly and the device you reached the url with all of them could be in different vlans and/or have different firewall rules and therefore different results.
That you’d have to wait initially for other devices as well isn’t usual behavior either.
If you’ve got logging enabled (on the firewall) you could look at blocked traffic at the moment you try to connect the shelly with Homey.
I think at least port 80 (TCP) from homey to shelly should be allowed. Device to device (more specific) or vlan to vlan (more generic).
Same for port 5353 (mDNS; UDP)
If you’ve got a stateful firewall the return traffic is allowed automatically. If it’s not (and my information is valid) Shelly to Homey should allow TCP ports 80 and 6010-6022.
Nope, not firewall, I’ve allowed all traffic to and from both vlans and subnets.
Right now I’ve lost half of all the shellys and all Google, minis, hubs and Chromecasts.
Isolate the problem by making a simple LAN and connect Homey and the device to it, so you are sure netwerk issues are excluded.
Than I’d suspect mDNS.
I thought so too but mdns settings hasn’t changed since sonos fubard their app and I never had issues connecting with Smartthings using shelly. Perhaps due to that they connected via cloud and I guess homey connects directly?? Not sure how though?
Reset the mDNS settings anyway but no difference but homey does find it and it when I choose the Shelly in new devices Homey has found and press continue. That’s when I get the error.
It connects per LAN. Cloud is optional (see settings in Shelly phone app), but AFAIK that’s NOT handled by Homey.
Like proposed before, I’d create a simple wifi network with only Homey and Shelly devices, to rule out any network issues.
This below is no good news to me, wifi / lan devices don’t take time to show up…
Reset the shelly 1PM Gen 4 and added it to the same network as the Homey.
Then is worked, I can then change to the IoT network and everything still works?
I’ts not the first 1PM Gen 4 I have and the other worked just fine.
Apparently the name of the device matters as if I changed it on the device it takes a while
before Homey can see it. This would be due to mDNS having to update and understandable.
mDNS has to be the issue then.
Oddly enough my settings do Multicast over VLans/subnets and I’ve got IGMP snooping on as well.
I’m starting to think that the timeout is set to tight.
Hi boys (and girls)!
Bought a Shelly BLU HT Display ZB to installl as a BLE temp sensor in my Pro Mini (with a Bridge as sattelite). The installation went OK but I never get any temp readings but I can see RSSI levels. Also baught a Shelly BLU HT ZB, that is a temp sensor without a display that works without any problems.
In the Shelly app I get temp readings from both devices so there is nothing wrong with the sensors I suppose…..
Any clues?

Running into an issue…
I have been playing with a Shelly 2pm gen3 using both Wifi and Matter. There is an Addon module connected to the Shelly and I am trying to read a temp from an analog 10kOhm thermistor.
The issue is that in neither connection method does an “Analog Input” show up in the Homey App. If I use the Voltage meter, then I can see the addon device but only when adding the device to Homey via Wifi. The list of functionality between The Matter device and Wifi Device is significant, as an aside.
Is there something I am doing wrong or is there a defect somewhere in the chain? The addon device does show in the Shelly web UI for the device.
TIA for the suggestions
Edit: I have another 2pm gen3 connected via Wifi and it sees the ds1820 digital temp sensors no issue.

Please report your issue here:
i had the same with the zigbee connetion last june and contacted the support, on that moment the shelly did nog yet have it implemented.
so i bougt another hotspot for the wifi to connect on that place and connected everything tough wifi
Hello, is it possible to integrate the Shelly Cury into the Shelly Homey app?
Thx
@Rico1988 Did you read the first post?
There you can read how to get support. Shelly people are not reading this topic.
Sorry
@Rico1988 No problem. Just asking.
In the first post is most of the time a lot of info about the app and devices.
I like to use the Shelly Plus Plug S with the switch in detached mode. But the detached switch does not appear in Homey.
Is this a Shelly issue or a Homey issue
