App request Dreo Smart Porducts

Any update after CES?
I can get it working through the Home Assistant Integration but even that keeps failing authentication

I too am anxious for updates on this. I have a number of their products and would be extremely pleased to be able to include them on my Homey

Hello, this thread has gone awfully quiet, please could we get an update to at least know this is still being worked on? Gratefully appreciated

Please add the space heater as well, if possible. The model number is HSH017 / WH517S. The fans alone would be great.

Unfortunately, we missed CES this year due to bad weather, so the meeting with the DREO team didn’t take place. I followed up afterward but haven’t heard back yet regarding the progress.

Please note that development is handled by DREO themselves, not by our team. Any requests should be directed to DREO.

Okay, thank you. You prompt response is greatly appreciated. I’ll give Dreo a prod

Many thanks for the update.

Thanks for the update Abe.
Shame you guys couldn’t attend CES.
Do hope the team over at Dreo is still looking into an integration though.

Very nice stuff

Once you get it as far as public testing, shoot me a message.
I would be more then happy to test using the fans I have here;
2x DR-HTF002S aka Dreo Smart Quiet Tower Fan
1x DR-HTF004S aka Dreo Pilot Max S

And once again major kudos for developing!

I will do, Patrick. I’m only about 3–4 weeks into using Homey myself, so I’m still learning how it all works. All your devices should work though, as you’ll just log in to your account and it will pull through your existing devices.

I’m a bit short on time at the moment with work, but I’ll send something over to you soon once I’ve figured out how to publish it.

No rush at all Geordie  but just great to see someone take the task upon themselves. (and who has the knowledge for this type of stuff)

As we are in March the fans at my end are not on at all yet hahaha. So totally no rush there.
But with the weather getting warmer it would be nice if I could automate them and have on less thing to think about in the summer.

Yeah Homey has it’s own learning curve compared to Home Assistant for sure. But with them opening up a lot lately with Self Hosted Server, them making a push for the US market etc, well lots of potential also.

If you ever want to share why you made the jump, well I for one am always interested in hearing as to why.

And let me make this absolute clear; no rush, and your efforts are surely appreciated by all the nice people who commented above and have done requests for a Dreo app.

Mine’s the heater here in the UK. We run EV chargers and I mostly work nights from home, so our electricity tariff gets cheaper overnight.

I needed the Dreo heater to work instantly with Homey when my electricity switches to off-peak rates. My automation turns the Tado heating in my office off (gas) and switches the Dreo heater on (off-peak electric), keeping the office at roughly the same temperature but at a cheaper rate for a few hours.

I’ve also got a Sonoff NSPanel that controls the lights in my office, and the second switch can turn the Dreo heater on if I want to give the heating a quick boost.

I’m fully self-hosted here as well. I’ll have a look at what the requirements are for submitting apps to Homey, and if it’s not too much hassle I’ll try to get something pushed out next weekend if I get the time.

Hehehe, im from the Netherlands, so well our weather is quite similar actually.
Yeah I can imagine, we run our AC downstairs as a heater here when needed as that is far cheaper then when using central heating (gas). Have been doing that for the entire winter and can assure it makes a ton of difference financially.

For the upcoming summer, I tend on making a nice setup which works well between (also) Tado, our AC’s (LG btw) and our fans (Dreo), the combo will make both winter and summer so much more easy going. (Both ease of use and financially)

Still on a ā€˜solid’ tariff (the ones that don’t change hourly) here for everything. And while that was something I was reconsidering … the current gas (and fuel) pricing due to the whole Middle East situation is making me second guess that.

But for reference just before self hosted became a thing for Homey I modded my original Homey Pro (Early 2023) with a different board and some adjustments so I could enjoy 8GB of RAM as the initial 2GB offering was just a tad to small for the automations/flows/scripts I was running, and with some altering I also increases the available storage to 32GB, which is nice but… well storage never was a thing. (This saved me from having to run a new set of dedicated hardware as I hardly have anything that runs 24/7 perhaps except for the router, freezer, fridge and some standby outlets)

No rush once again, and thanks for sharing.
If anything Homey itself gets in your way, feel free to let me or others know. Surely someone will help you out.

Also in the UK here. And also happy to be used as guinea pig for testing. I have several of their Polyfan pedestal fans, a fan heater, and a dehumidifier… so eager to test it out  Thanks for all your hard work, it’s mahoosively appreciated

I also just received an update from DREO about the official integration;

A quick update that we are working on integrating most of our 2026 summer products with Homey, aiming to complete it in April and announce that at our summer launch event.

Neat Abe, having an official and community developed one will be great to have as well
