here you go chaps until offical one is relseased
Awesome
will give it a testing the upcoming day to see how it works out.
Thanks again @Geordie_Lee !
EDIT: Initial feedback from testing.
Connected to the Dreo account just fine. It does not store the credentials though it seems, so when trying to add a new device it will ask for the credentials again. Not considering this a real issue though.
But besides that it shows none of my devices sadly.
For reference;
2x DR-HTF002S aka Dreo Smart Quiet Tower Fan
1 x DR-HTF004S aka Dreo Pilot Max S
As noted mine are fans and might not be listed as heaters which the app seems focused to now.
Could that be the case? And if so, is this something you would consider adding?
Update the app see if you can see your fans now Patrick
Thanks for the swift reply ![]()
Updated, logged in and saw all my fans.
Was able to add them and started testing.
I was able to use all the features so … I am quite happy and can’t thank you enough.
Some findings though and what happens to help improve compatibility;
On the DR-HTF004S aka Dreo Pilot Max S
- This fan the max fan speed stops at level 9 when using the Homey app, but is has options all the way to 12 in the Dreo app. I can’t seem to replicate that. Besides that fan levels work well.
- This fan does not have a turbo mode, the homey app does list that as an option. Other options work well.
- This fan has level to it’s oscillation (30, 60, 90, 120 degrees) besides the on-off option. On-off works fine for it.
- On/off works fine.
On the DR-HTF002S aka Dreo Smart Quiet Tower Fan
- This fan has a max speed of 6, but then using the Homey app if I push it to to the of the slider, the API probably does not understand that as that times out. Besides that fan levels work well.
- This fan does not have a turbo mode, the homey app does list that as an option. Other options work well.
- The oscillation on-off works fine.
- On/off works fine.
So TLDR: working but perhaps you can check the fan levels/modes available on specific devices?
If I can help in any way, and once again thank you very very much for looking into this app in the first place.
Wow, now I’m really excited to get started with my fan. Do you think it would be possible to add support for my PolyFan 513S (model number DR-HAF003S)? Thanks in advance. ![]()
PS I see you are pushing versions out like a madman (I mean this in an outmost positive way) while I wrote the above … so much appreciated my man!
Should work when you login.
Great feedback iv made some ajustments you might have to login again.
Yeah, for some reason i was stuck on 1.02 so i had only heaters available. But now i’ve succesfulle added my fan! ![]()
Just for clarification, to be able to re-log-in. Do you by that mean remove fan and add in again?
Edit:
-All settings under Air Circulator goes to time out
-Power settings goes from 1-12, where setting 12 is empty bar. I think the correct would be 0 (empty bar - 8. All values over 8 goes to time-out.
-would it be possible to add oscillation modes in the app settings? Seems as its possible via flows.
-Would it be possible to add sleep (turn of after x minutes)?
And once again, thanx!! ![]()
Awesome again ![]()
No problem at all, let me check it in a few moments and get back to you.
New update just pushed out you will have to re-pair to pick up the new config settings.
Ok had some time to look and test, this is with 1.2.1 for reference.
-
All fans still show Turbo as a mode, but both types I own Dreo Pilot Max S (DR-HTF004S) and Dreo Smart Quiet Tower Fan (DR-HTF002S)) don’t have that as an option at all in
the Dreo app or on the remote/device Not a big issue but it might confuse people. Not sure if you can do anything about it though perhaps the API is just returning that. -
For oscillation angles, all work except for “full sweep”, as that is not a thing on the Dreo Pilot Max S (DR-HTF004S) or Dreo Smart Quiet Tower Fan (DR-HTF002S)
Also it seems all fans now have the angles, but Dreo Smart Quiet Tower Fan (DR-HTF002S) does not have any angle option. It just has an on/off option on Dreo’s end.
Not sure If you check if a capability is available before enabling thing in the Homey GUI. -
For fan speed levels, Dreo Pilot Max S (DR-HTF004S) you noted to now be limited to 9 levels, but it acutally has 12 levels (perhaps we misunderstood each other a bit there)
Must say I like it being called fan speeds now, as that is clearer then the percentages before.
If I can help in any other way feel free to let me know, I’ll be around the house for most of the day so can test etc if needed.
I see you pushed another update will test that just to be sure, but I think the above should still be the case. If not i’ll edit this comment.
Once again once again, major thanks!
EDIT: Just to confirm the above is also valid for 1.2.2.
Im going to jump off for a bit ill try and push another update later on today im only running the little cheap heater that just huff and puffs and blows a little heat out.
Ill go though all your feedback later and try and get it all correctly working for you chaps.
I just tried the new version, and so far everything seems to work just fine. Will do some in-depth testing later on. BIG THANK YOU Geordie for all your hard work <3
No rush at all mate and I cant say thank you enough.
This is why I like the Homey community so much … so many people that help and go the extra mile, … in helping others, and sure make the product eco-space better in the process.
Your efforts are very very much appreciated!
Sorry for the additional post but just saw 1.2.3 my man; awesome.
All the options seem correct when it comes to oscillation now for the models I can test.
In fan modes it did remove ‘Auto‘ for the DR-HTF002S which should be an option but meh … future work for sure.
Besides that as far as I can tell it offers all the Dreo App does.
Will have to play with the flow cards later on but all I can tell is missing now is a Then “Set fan speed to [LEVEL] “ . But that’s about it.
Outside of that; as a developer you can add a donate option if im not mistaken to your apps (not sure how etc) but enable that so people who like what you do can send you something for your efforts ![]()
I agree — having the option to donate would definitely be appropriate. Incredibly well done!
I’ve now tested all the functions (except flows) on my PolyFan 513S (model number DR-HAF003S), and it seems that only the oscillations aren’t working. To be clear, they don’t work at all, but everything else works perfectly.
The settings available in the Dreo app are:
-
Vertical oscillation (in degrees): 45, 75, and 105. There are also more advanced settings, such as defining the upper and lower limits manually, but I think that might be too complex for Homey’s GUI. The quick options of 45, 75, and 105 degrees should work perfectly fine.
-
Horizontal oscillation (in degrees): 30, 60, 90, and 120. Same situation as above regarding the advanced settings — they’re probably too complex for Homey’s GUI. The presets 30, 60, 90, and 120 degrees should be more than sufficient.
In addition to these, there are also “other settings”, but those are really getting into overkill territory.
Looking forward to being able to use this App.
Able to log in successfully and the App reports “New Devices Found” but also shows that there are no devices. Fan Model Number is DR-HAF004S and the Fan Model Name is CF714S. I have two of this exact same fan model.
Diagnostics Report: 06c5fa1d-746d-4191-88b1-220c2a83979a
I do have the fans also connected in Home Assistant via the Dreo Integration, don’t know if there is a conflict because of that.
Just pushed a new update
