Anyone manage to get streaming video working with UniFi cameras with the new homey update.
Getting rid of the middle layer would be helpful.
I have a Homey Pro 2003 and a fairly extensive Unifi environment here. Devices in Unifi Protect are mostly working, but not completely. For example, the G4 doorbell - I can get a snapshot from that camera on a dashboard but not a live stream (either directly via G4 camera device, or via Virtual IP camera with RTSP url)
Unifi has a dedicated admin user, but with View only permissions
It can be set to Live only mode, and I’m pretty sure we don’t want to grant Full Mgmt … Custom gives a list of all the cameras (and chimes) to select between Full Mgmt, View Only and None.
I just got a couple of vibration sensors and want one on the side door to the garage. Upon detection I want to sound off on the Unifi Chimes. Simple flow … but adding a When card to turn on the chime fails
Looking in developer tools Devices, I see the Chime is as a “Class sensor”, which doesn’t seem right ?
So, questions …
- Does Homey require specific permissions for the Unifi local user ?
- Has anyone got live streams from Unifi cameras working ?
- How about triggering chimes ?
Enable rtsp stream in unifi protect under share settings and restart homey app.

The app on Homey, or restart Homey.
You can’t ring the chime manually , later on i will create an test action card so you can ring the chime

Is it possible for the Unifi All In One Sensor to prevent only the doorsensor from zone activity and not the motionsensor?
I’ve put a sensor in my shower cabin. But the doorsensor is on it’s limit for the distance. I’m afraid it will loose connection sometimes, while the door is still in the same position.
If the “exclude from zone activity” had two options: one for the motionsensor, one for the doorsensor, would be a nice solution I think…?!
I had some issues with sending snapshots when someone pushes the button my G4 doorbell Pro, but after a while it stopped sending snapshots, it couldn’t send images anymore. Restarted the doorbell, but didn’t solve it. Removed the doorbell and try to add it again, but then Homey says that the user doesn’t had enough rights to connect the doorbell. Tried to reset the password in UniFi Protect, but didn’t help at all. Created a new user in UniFi Protect and after that I could connect again and add the doorbell to Homey. Now Snapshots also work OK again. Can’t figure out what the real issue was here, anyone?

Did you just copy the URL from the Cam ? You need the RTSP, not the RTSPS, and change port to 7447

Did you create an local user without MFA for only the Homey App?
The Sirene is now live in production version! If you have some tips send me a DM!

Yes, created a local user without MFA. Strange thing is that it works for some time and then suddenly it stops working. When I create a new local user and use that in the UniFi app it works again
You dont use this user for other integrations?
No, only for the UniFi Protect integration. I have installed the UniFi app, but haven’t configured it yet.
Bingo - that did it. Just modify the URL from Unifi to rtsp and change the port. Had to add 7447 to the allow list for IoT ←→ Gateway too, but that’s easy.

I have some issues with snapshots from my G6 Entry, the livestream is working and Codec is h265 but I don’t geht any snapshot, is th G6 not yet supported?
