Can you test the newest test version for me?
Since yesterday (8-10-22) I lost the snapshot / picture option in the app.
I just installed the exsperimental version but that’s not the solution.
Also i have restarted Homey, no pictures.
Someone an idea how to solve this problem?
Frank
There are no problems , works great on my machine.
What is the error message ?
Hi,
No errors but in details I cannot view the snapshot.
The same with the Unify G4 doorbel en the G3 instant. In the Protect app I have no problems
Frank
Strange , can you restart the app ?
What is your controller?
Hi,
Restart doesn’t change it.
Controller is a Unifi Cloud Key
Frank
Frank,
Can you remove the camera and pair it again?
Thank you,
Hoi,
Geniaal. Dat is het. Heb de devices (3 stuks) verwijderd en ook de app gedeinstalleerd. Daarna weer alles erop. App geconfiged en het werkt.
Blijft vreemd maar ik heb weer beelden.
Thanks voor de support
Frank
Hoi Frank,
Homey Unifi Protect app use the device id from Unifi Protect app. When this id changed because? (Big upgrade from application, readding devices, etc) Homey can’t find the devices anymore and the screenshot function is not working anymore.
Maybe must the error reporting beter for this situation.
Hi Stéphan! @ObelixNL
I have a problem that has existed for quite some time, but which I did not really understand - until now!
It is about the status “Motion alarm” sometimes locking to “Yes” on a camera.
Today I found out when this happens; If a camera has “Recording mode” to “Detections” and this is changed to “Never”, the camera will change “Motion alarm” to “Yes” on the next detection - and will not change back to “No” again.
This is not corrected until “Recording mode” is changed to “Detections” again and at the next detection the status “Motion alarm” works as it should again.
So somehow “Motion alarm” is affected by “Recording mode” which I don’t understand why. Shouldn’t the “Motion alarm” status work regardless of which “Recording mode” is selected?
Hope you could find a solution!
(Running 1.5.16 on 8.0.8)
This option is always on and doesn’t change.
I have G3 cameras; Pro, Micro, Dome and Bullet, so no Smart Detection available.
Can you show me in the gui what options is changed ? Or what the problem is?
If a camera has “Recording mode” set to “Detections” and this is changed to “Never”, the camera will change “Motion alarm”, as expected, to “Yes” on the next detection BUT will not change back to “No” again. (It hangs on “Yes”)
Then changing “Recording mode” to “Detections” again. - “Motion alarm” is still showing “Yes”.
Then after the first detection the status “Motion alarm” is set back to “No” again. And is working as it should for following detections. (Switching to “Yes” on detection and back to “No” when detection stops)
Then if I change “Recording mode” to “Never” - it starts all over again…
(Conditions: I switch “Recording mode” to “Detections” or “Never” manually in the Protect webapp. Or auto via a flow)
That is desired behavior, I do not receive a notification from Protect that the notification is finished.
I’m not a big fan of using another timer to get it back to no.
Maybe I’ll come up with an idea later to fix this.
Ah, so this behavior is from Ubiquitu?
So when “Recording mode” is set to “Detections", you get notifications from Protect on “Motion alarm” switching to “Yes” on detection and back to “No” when detection stops?
And when “Recording mode” is set to “Never", you get notifications from Protect on “Motion alarm” switching to “Yes” on first detection and after that there is no more notification from Protect?
I use my cameras, regardless of recording mode, as motion detectors in Homey. For example, if there is activity in a room, a light turns on and it stays on as long as there is movement, activity.
This can apparently only be done (referring to your explanation) if the camera is in recording mode “Detections”, because if I set the recording mode to “Never” the light turns on on first movement and stays on because the zone is seen as active.
One solution is of course to always run “Detections”, but it is not always fun to record everything (storage space, bandwidth, privacy…).
I fully understand that you cannot change Ubiquitu’s conditions. Let’s hope they change this for the better in the near future.
Thnx for quick and clarifying reply!
@ObelixNL hello, and to start thank you for this great application that I use every day.
Do you plan to implement a “privacy mode” as found on Home Assistant?
This mode allows you to put a private zone over the entire field of vision (therefore an entirely black image), mute the microphone and disable recording.
It would be a must have!!
Any support for the new G4 Pro Doorbell?
Motion Alert,
Im running a couple of UVC cameras and having problems with the motion alert.
It activates as expected but becomes inactive 1-7 seconds after. As long as there is movement it stays inactive. When still for a period of time it will acitvate again to deactivate 1-7 seconds after.
Set to Always and highest sensitivity.
Do you have any suggestions?
