…anyone else with problems (pairing and/or updating) after updating to latest Homey firmware beta rc5??
I got some problems updating my display.
I got connection to the displays and got a page with 5 points I think. Release button, unplug, wait 5s, button again and then connect. Or something like that and I think the error came when i pressed next. Then I get an error message and the program crashes.
Next time the program crashes the on the first “plug in the usb”-screen.
Windows information:

I tried on a windows 10 computer also and then i got some installation prompt before the program starts but no connection to the device.

Please consider:
- Trying different USB cables
- Making sure your USB port is configured correctly and not blocked (e.g. by Antivirus, other PC security measures etc.)
- Trying different PC’s
- Trying several times
Now I have taken me further on a windows 11 laptop but i fail later. I put the log on pastebin SMPL uppdate fail log - Pastebin.com
It seems like it loses connection to the target in the process. I have tried several times and with both my displays and I get the same fail on both at what I can see the same step:
What shall I try next?
I am not a PC support expert, so my best advice based on other users experience is still:
- Trying different USB cables
- Making sure your USB port is configured correctly and not blocked (e.g. by Antivirus, other PC security measures etc.)
- Trying different PC’s
- Trying several times

Start the update programe with run as administrator. (Right mouse then choose run as…)

Just wanted to thank @Nitramevo for his excellent support.
We finally solved the issue after trying to reflash etc. myself. Finally Martin offered me to send back the unit and reflash there. Now everything is working fine.

Hi.
After Homey update 10.3.0 both my displays have gone dead. Says redy to display info but nothing pop up. Tried to reset one of them but unable to connect the device.
Is it only me?

The same with me.
Since the Homey update to version 10.3.0 my smpl display has frozen.
After a reset I can no longer pair the display with Homey.

I’m running v10.3.0 but I cannot reproduce your issue. My German isn’t that good, can you translate the message from Homey?

Same here with 3x SMPL displays,
Deleting the App and reinstalling it did not provide any improvement.
Also removing the displays and restarting them is no longer possible.
Now just wait for an update of the SMPL App and hope that it works again.

Cases of HP23 fw update 10.3.0 breaking connectivity for smpl mini display
Athom is currently not able to reproduce the issue with their smpl mini display. The same goes for our own installations.
But the ‘only’ similarity between the cases and the timing is the HP23 firmware update.
Please also contact Athom support about the issue: Support | Homey in order for them to collect more cases.
Current feedback is: the Zigbee Thread has been modified, this is not handled well by smpl. During the Homey beta, there was also a problem with ZCL commands.

Ok. Here the same. All my smpl displays are not working anymore. One other zigbee device (Aqara roller shade driver e1) is working less stable (missing commands and stops working after some hours until reboot of homey). All other devices on zigbee running fine as far as I can see.

Same issue on both my SMPL devices. I’ve opened a ticket with Homey and send them the diagnostic report ID’s for the app and the Homey.
I think there are a lot more things at the moment, in the confirmation email it had the following sentence: "Please note that we are currently experiencing a sharp increase in ticketload. This is why our expected reply time is 2-3 weeks. "

I lost my smpl display when homey was upgraded to 10.3.0. Not sure what firmware I have on my smpl display now… but I see that it is possible to install this version: FW 1.19 | Zigbee Stack 1.17.2 Does anyone know if that will solve the issues with zigbee on homey 10.3.0 ?
