OK, what the ping shows during mentioned period ? Is it stable and responding during the time SmartPresence mark the phone and unavailable ? Feel free to reach in case directly to me - also if anyone else is observing some new behavior on the new Test, let me know by providing the log, including information of your phone (Android/iPhone, Wifi settings checked and ping state…)
I started a PING from my laptop to my iPhone. I have continous ping when using the phone, it will not trigger to away.
I do not have continous ping when I lock the iPhone, it drops ping different times, sometimes 10 to 20 pings, sometimes1 or 3 pings. I believe this is normal behaviour because of low power mode or something.
The timestamp “time seen“ in Homey seems only to update on change when coming home. It does not update when it has a connection with Homey.
Additionally:
When I do not use ping from my laptop and use the phone while using Insta, it goes to status “Away“.
So it seems the “problem“ is with the timestamp nog being updated?
I too am having ‘fake’ away notifications. My sons iPhone does that, but now my Pixel phone too.
It’s a problem with your iPhone not being connected, it has nothing to do with the SmartPresence, unfortunately.
We discussed iPhones already few times…
Let me check again, seems I can replicate - same for @Munnikie
Wi-fi assist is off and the problem started after the updates off 6 dec… I had no problems before, so it has to be something with the app.
The update of yesterday seems to have fixed the problem.

Personally, I didn’t like to have such long string in device state, but if you are using it in any way that would make sense, maybe I can have a look what I can do.

I have several tiles with people and equipment that is not visiting /connecting to my wifi everyday and it was easier before to just check status on the tiles to see “date/time” when it was last connected, now I use “time” as status and need to open the tile to also check the date… Hope this is something you will consider to bring back the old status with combined date/time as an option for status.
