Thanks for your reply. I limit the wifi on my IoT VLAN to 2.4GHz because some devices don’t play well with 5GHz.
Hi there, love this app and have used it for a long time now. But since a couple of weeks it has gone from super stable to very unreliable. The phones are coming and going all the time, even if I can all see them in my router portal. We are all using iphones, and I run an ASUS mesh.
Since the app has not changed version for a long time, I need help with ideas what to check in my set-up, since I have not changed any hardware.

I’m not sure I understand the working of the app completely, so the next option may not work: is it possible to react on a person, that is not identified by the app as a known person? So WHEN someone entered AND who contains Unknown THEN notification
I think that would be a handy addition.

I struggeling since a few days. I use smart presence for a couple of things and everything worked like a charm until a week ago, when I had one incidence with my and my wife´s presence switching fro not present to present with a split minute or so. Don’t ask me for the exact settings (I didn’t copy them), I just used that incidence as as reason to update the setting with the recommended iPhone settings posted at the beginning.
I have increase the presence delay (?) stepwise up to 4 minutes, and even with this it just happened again:
Current setting are:
presence delay: 240 s
Normal mode checking interval: 15000 ms
Normal mode time out: 2 s
Stress period: 60 s
Stress checking intervall: 2500 ms
Stress host time out: 2 s
Any suggestions?
It’s a reason that default value of Away delay is 900 s. Most mobile phones have energy saving features that let wifi rest for about 10 min when not in use.
If needed increase Away delay fuerher more and enjoy a stable presence detection.

Odd. Android keeps the wifi connection alive as long as I’m in range; I use Net Scan for detection.
I have to say I’ve not cranked the phone’s energy saving up to 99%.

I was wondering if my Heimdall flows are invoked correctly, I checked my presence according to SM. What wonders me is: it was about 21:20 when I took the screenshot, and my presence was correctly detected at 19:20 when I got home, but the status still says “last seen 18:17” the day before…
Is this the intended behavior?
