[APP][Pro] Rain Bird

Hello
How many Rain bird can I control with the Homey APP?
Could you tell me how many from the HA app?

Regards

As you can imagine, I haven’t tried it with 10 rainbirds connected to Homey. Also, that’s a LOT  .

I thought the app was your

Yup, but I don’t have 10 Rainbirds?

Hi
Then, You should know if its possible to create differents devices, no?

I am not sure what you mean, or want. You got 10 rainbirds and a Homey? Just give it a shot and try it out. Also, please report back with your findings, have any problems connecting them and which type of Rainbirds you got.

I can always check if I can add support for them.

P.S. You do know that these apps are build and maintained by volunteers?

Yes I know and I“m very greatful.
I understant it“s possible to configure more than 2 rainbirds.
I“ll try to configure a lot of them, and I“ll tell you the results.

Regards

Good morning.
I have installed 6 rain bird units. I can control them from the Homey flows. But the Homey doesn`t see the rain bird status when the unit is runnig the own program or when it“s activated from the rain bird app.

Is it possible to know if some zones of the rainbird are watering or not?

Hello!
Is there any hope that the app will be adapted to the IQ4 connection soon?
Best reg!

Hi,

Here same or did you find solution ?
Seems communication between Rainbird and Holey about status is not always Ok ?

Hi, I’ve had the RainBird app for around 6 months now and it’s always worked perfectly, but it has completely stopped working about a week ago. Flows and and direct interaction with the device through Homey seem to not work, while I have changed nothing.

The RainBird itself works fine, and I can control it fine through the official RainBird app, but all connection with the Homey app is gone. I’ve tried resetting the Homey RainBird app, resetting the Homey and changing the settings from rainbird.local to the actual local IP the RainBird has, but it’s not even saving (I’m on a Homey early 2019 with 12.5.0 and app version 1.2.3).

Anyone else had this issue? or any tips to fix?

Hi,

Same for me.

I read somewhere that Rainbird RC2 (maybe other too) works only with one active connection. I tested that…after some time without using official app I can use it in HA or Homey. But when I use it on Homey it doesn’t work with official app. For many months before it worked normally. I started to use only official app.

If You find any solution pls sen it to me.

Best regards

Same here. Removing the device from homey results in the fact I can’t add it anymore.
Repairing didn’t work as well.

Good news guys, I rewrote the app completely. It’s her to test. @sorted.bits can you tranfer your app over to me, so I can update it with the new one. Rain Bird | Homey

Sure, but how?

Same issue here! Did you solve it?

I’ve got the same problems as described above. It worked fine for as long as I have the app running on my HP23, but sixteen days ago or there was no more response from the controller.
The controller itself works, the wifi works, the rainbird mobile app works, even home-assistant can connect and control the rain bird controller.

So…. there must be something broken in the Homey-app I think.
(also, it doesn’t work with the test version of the app)
