Meross did provide me with an OAuth API which will be used for Homey Cloud, since at the moment it only supports garage door openers and thermostats.
For Homey Pro I’m working on an API which combines the local HTTP and cloud MQTT connections Meross “offers” to support basically any device Meross has released.
@Doekse — really appreciate the work on the Cloud API integration! Wanted to add a vote for garage door opener (MSG100/MSG200) support, and flag two UX issues I’ve hit using the Community app’s garage door driver that’d be great to avoid if you’re building this fresh:
- Quick action toggle polarity: currently the button highlights as “on” when the door is closed — counterintuitive. Would suggest “on” = open, “off” = closed.
- Status text clarity: currently shows “Yes/No” (Yes = closed, No = open), which isn’t self-explanatory. “Open/Closed” text would be much clearer, especially for other household members glancing at the app.
