I ended up adding it through the Home Assistant Community app. It’s been trouble free for a while.
Is there an update on the MSG100 integration?
Can’t add the device through the meross app.
I have been the proud owner of 9 MTS215B Smart Thermostats since yesterday. Adding them to Homey was effortless, and the thermostats are working exactly as they should.
One of the reasons I chose these thermostats was the summer mode (cooling mode). However, I’ve noticed that the summer mode can only be activated in the Meross app via a “sub‑menu.”
My initial goal was to switch between heating/cooling using a variable and thereby set the mode for all thermostats at once.
Therefore, my question is:
Is there a way to activate the summer mode on the thermostats via Homey? If yes, how? If not, is such a feature planned for the future?
I’ve just thrown my two MS605s in the trash; they’re absolutely useless! They had to be re-paired with Homey every other day using Matter, and the presence detection never worked. They were simply motion detectors in Homey, nothing more.
@Doekse is there any update for MSG100 garage door opener support?
Would be awesome, specially if it can also work local.
Hi to Meross users via Homey,
I need some info about the MSH450.
I’m using the smarthub to connect non Matter fire detectors, which is ok.
Issue :
I though I could use the MSH450 also as a wifi border repeater for some outdoors 320 Matter powerplugs.
It appears that, when declared to the Meross app, the outdoors plug don t connect via the MSH450.
Question : Is the smartplug only planned to be used as a hub for Homey with non matter devices connected to it, or can we use it as a hub with all Meross devices ( declared either to Homey or to Meross app ) as a border repeater for Homey?
Sorry but I’m lost…
if anybody could just answer quickly by a yes or no, I’d then deeply check if it’s an SSID issue if it’s a yes.
Any news on the HTTP and MQTT support?
As the old Meross Community App is not working anymore I need an urgent alternative.
@palatin.bence Could you give an update if your old but amazing community app is still supported by you?
Thanks guys! ![]()
Hi all,
I’ve just pushed v2.0.0 to test in the Homey App Store. This update fully migrates the app from Node.js to Python, allowing me to leverage the well-maintained meross-iot Python library, which is also used in integrations like Home Assistant.
I initially considered building a similar library in Node.js, but quickly realized I wouldn’t have the time to maintain it properly.
The next version will focus on adding support for most Meross devices via MQTT/LAN. In parallel, the OAuth API we’ve been working on with Meross is already performing well and continues to expand in terms of device support. With that, I’m aiming to bring official Homey Cloud support soon as well.
I’m hoping to have the next update ready before the end of April ![]()
Thanks for the update! Will there be any chance to use the App also on the Homey Pro 2019/2023 version? Thanks
For me the app works fine on Homey Pro 2023.
I gave the meross-iot Python library a shot, but unfortunately wasn’t too happy with the results. I’ve decided to stick with Node.js and continue improving my own API, which you can already find here.
The idea is to make it super easy to integrate devices into Homey, whether via cloud or local connectivity. The API dynamically detects device types and capabilities, so most Meross devices should just work out of the box without any additional setup.
Hoping to get a first test version out before the end of April.
Hi,
I have a Homey Pro and lots of other gear attached to it. I recently added the MS605 and I’m having real problems with it. I can pair with Homey after a reset (but this breaks the pair with the Meross app), OR with the Meross app (but this breaks the Homey pair, even though that is a Bluetooth connection). This means I can’t make any changes to the settings.
I have two IKEA GrillPlats in the same room, and they work fine, so the thread network is OK. Elsewhere, I have an FP300 with no problems.
I’ve read several suggestions for sequences of pairing with the app, removing the MS605 etc but none seem to solve the problem.
Reading this thread, I’m guessing lots of others are way past this and I’m missing something obvious!
What pairing sequence works, and does it matter whether I pair via the Homey Meross App or the Homey Matter option??
I’ve installed the MSG100. I can control it with the Meross iOS app and it works fine.
I added the Meross Homey app and add the device to homey as a Meross device. I have not set the IP in the device config in Homey.
When I click on the opener tile in homey I get ‘client response topic not available - mqtt service not initialized’.
I don’t know what I have to do at this point.
I believe you are using the community built Meross app?
yes, v3.0.1
