[APP][Pro] LG ThinQ - Smart living starts with LG ThinQ (Community) (NL)

Thx Robert. Weird, last post I saw in this thread was dated 6 days ago when typing my message, now I see posts from hours ago. Anyway, solved! :+1::+1:

I think it’s not in the energy tab unless the new device types are used by your devices with the lg app.
So the new airco device type. Not sure if the lg app already got the update to have these assigned. And if it did you probably need to re-add your airco to get the new type active.

I made an app with an ev vehicle support that needed that update. I didn’t see it updated with my own app automatically to already added devices, but maybe i did something wrong there (polestar app, not related but also had new device type option now).

@Martin_Verbeek do you know that ?

I can’t see the airco in the new energy tab

Experiencing the same thing with my Dryer and Washing machine. Wich both worked fine in the homey app. But don’t since a day or 6. (A recent LG app update in Homey was installed I believe.)

Please read back a few posts, LG has new T&C’s that you need to accept in the official (non-Homey) app.

So I did.:face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth: Doesn’t fix it for me. Even a restart of the lg homey-app on homey and a homey restart doesn’t’t help out (yet)

Logout your account in the lg thinq mobile app, log back in, go through all the steps (skip any attempt to change password) until that app is fully working again. Then restart the homey lg thinq app. That should work.

Apparently I was a bit impatient, because now it works fine without your suggested steps!

@Martin_Verbeek Hi! What would it take to add LG dishwashers to this app? Would love to be able to pull up that as well in the Homey.

I also can’t seem to get my LG freezer working within the app. Looking in the LG ThinQ app, it seems to be working fine - but the Homey app comes out blank. Any ideas?

All ThinQ devices will be available in V4. I am spending the time on getting V4 ready.

It now works for the new LG connect API. But want to merge with my previous version as function sometimes is a bit limited in the new API.

for me app doesn’t work anymore…only errors also in log…

get power data V1 is undefined and therefore my aircon results not connected

Hi Martin,

Did LG changed something in there own ThinQ Android app ? (My Airco is working with this app though) I have the feeling since the latest update the Homey ThinQ app is not working anymore

This is what my Homey logging says:

  • undefinedundefined-Invalid Date-undefined undefined err] getPowerData V1 Airco Zolder 0102
  • undefined-Invalid Date-undefined undefined err] getPowerData V1 Airco Zolder 0102

I can see that it is a V1 platform device … LG has been fiddling around with auth in the V1 interface. I will not be fixing that in current branch of the code. Am attempting to fix that in the 4.0.0 branch. But a bit of patience is needed. It is not documented…

@Martin_Verbeek I thought I’d share this article about LG officially opening up their API: LG opens the ThinQ API for Smart Home devices - CNX Software

I actually have that working in the upcoming branch.

But the devil is in the details, and many things are not yet in the new API. They changed the deviceID. Trying to keep backward compatibility.

Yes, I think that the official LG integration for HA also uses this API, and a lot of people keep using the old unofficial one because it provides much more data :grimacing:

Backward is not so much of an issue for Thinq2 type devices, but for the ThinQ1 devices seeing Auth issues, both in new and old app. So you see that as well in the HA integration?

How can I check if a device is v1 or v2?

In the device settings of my app.

I don’t use Homey for my home automation :face_with_peeking_eye: It doesn’t look like I can check its version in HA (at the moment I don’t have any issues with the unofficial integration, I did earlier this week which was caused by new T&C’s that I had to agree with in the official app).
