[APP][Pro] Homewizard 🧙‍♂️

Yeah perhaps raise it with HomeWizard Support. I know there were plans but I guess those got delayed due to the plugin battery launch which is also delayed now. I am pretty much clueless/lost.

Sorry English forum section here. You can use this tool:

To reset your password of your homewizard unit.

Thanks for your response. Can you explain to me how I can find out the IP address of the home wizard base system and what is the default password after a reset?

Sorry there isnt a default password. Using the tool with usb it bypasses that. And ip address is something on your internet router dhcp.

Beta/test:

v3.3.20

  • Watermeter cumulative energy support

Hi Jeroen,

First of all thanks for all the extensive development and support you provide for this app.

I have a problem with adding my P1 meter. I feel like the problem is on the HW side and not homey or this app. Hopefully you have a suggestion anyway.

My P1 is not detected while trying to add it on homey:

  • I only have one wifi network/ssid
  • Power cycled Homey/Router/P1-dongle(fw5.04)
  • Local API switch is turned on. Also toggled it and restarted everything multiple times.
  • _hwenergy._tcp is not found with a MDNS discovery tool. HW support unfortunately hasn’t been responsive about this yet.
  • I have a default ziggo router so I reckon I don’t have any fancy network settings.
  • The dongle works and reports fine via the HW app.

Do you have any idea what could prohibit the _hwenergy._tcp from broadcasting?

Thanks for your help!

Yes AP client isolation (guest wifi) can be a reason. Wifi clients would be not allowed to see/talk to each other. As Homey is wifi and P1 dongle, traffic will be dropped.

Thanks for the suggestions!
Unfortunately I’ve always disabled guest WiFi/wifispots.

I’ve contacted HW again. I’m also not able to update the firmware of the p1 dongle. 5.04 should be good enough, but maybe being unable to update is an indication of another (hardware?) issue in the dongle. Lets see what they come up with.

Thanks again👍🏼

Any pihole or adguard dns active?

I had to google what both of those are, so I’m pretty sure I don’t have them active

Wait you are on 5.04 that has a mDNS bug.

You must get a newer firmware on that P1. See if you can force it or power cycle the P1.

Oh I completely missed that message.
Totally makes sense then. Still not being able to update it but I will take it up with HW. Hopefully I can factory reset it or something.

Thanks for the heads up!

Thanks for the help. Finally a software update from Java and a new SD card and it works again

Is het mogelijk om een trend voor het WIFI signaal toe te voegen aan de app?
Mijn meterkast staat buiten op straat (woonboot) en ik zou graag de sterkte van het WIFI signaal willen kunnen volgen.

They couldn’t help with the firmware updating unfortunately. But they have amazing customer support and I’m getting a brand new one send to me. They can even move the data from the old dongle to the new one.
When it’s setup and working with homey I’ll buy you a coffee/beer for sure :+1:t3:

Sorry Arnoud, its english here.
Yes I can make Wifi strength be visible in Insights.
I had disabled it as I thought was more of a side gimmick

Ah good news then. Yeah their support is good.
I also have good experiences when I have questions or more API like queries. Sadly plugin battery is delayed so dont expect much to do till it gets released. To much assumptions by people (reading Tweakers is a headache).

v3.3.21 in beta / test release.

  • Wifi strength (Insight) support

Jeroen,
Thanks, I look forward to the release of the update.
Will this also work in the insights of the mobile app?
